Do y'all think this is a fluke? Or is there extra monitoring at night? Unhoused people maybe?

I might drive by one night to see what's up but if anyone knows anything lmk

I think it's real and probably people heading to work. I've spent a lot of time in rest areas near the freeway and I've noticed that traffic really never stops completely. It slows down around midnight and starts getting busy again around 3 am. Any bridge near a busy city like DC will probably never be completely devoid of traffic.

Interesting, I would have thought 3am would be the quietest time but I guess most people up between 12-3 aren't on the road/have places to be which is less the case after, maybe not 3 but 4am for sure.

I really hope it's not that much traffic šŸ™ƒ I want to limit the trauma I inflict on random strangers.

I think staying awake one night there is a good idea.

1 am mon-wed will most likely be the quietest time. That specific bridge is a very busy bridge in a very busy city so it will never not have some sort of traffic on it. Its also a common bridge for suicide so they might have people watching it. The best bet is to go there one night and see what it's like.

There is a lot of people who have warehouse shift starting around 4 or 5am. Might be the explanation why. Or people leaving nighclubs and bars at 2 or 3am.
