  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

They have the same problems that everyone else does. They may have an "easier" life as they don't have to live paycheck to paycheck, but ultimately they too can suffer depression, illness and all that stuff.

I don't get it
I am financially secure and stand to inherit millions once my 80 yr old step mother passes--But it means nothing to me since my lifelong partner passed away 3 months ago--She was all to me, and I cannot enjoy or appreciate anything without her, for now I am just biding time supporting my cancer-stricken brother--After he goes, it will then be my turn to end my life

They have the same problems that everyone else does.
No. No, they absolutely do NOT. Certain problems are universal, yes. But not all of them. I doubt there is any rich person anywhere who doesn't have access to healthcare, has no ability to get housing, or won't be well taken care of when they get old and are no longer able to work.

Health problems may be one of the reasons. Some illnesses and cancer types are untreatable, no matter how rich someone is.

I have recently made so more money and my mental health has declined a lot. Money does not solve any problems. It might give you a slightly more comfortable life. However, once you start making money you want to make more and you cannot stop. You are afraid of losing what you have and ending up with nothing.

Obviously you didn't understand what I was trying to say. They have the SAME problems, obviously not all of them. Not money related problems but if someone has cancer they have cancer, if someone is depressed they are depressed. Good healthcare or not.

I'm not rich by western standards, but I am financely very comfortable, but that does not prevent as I get older being unable to live as full a life as I need. When the time comes that I feel to be merely existing rather than living i will commit suicide.

LOL. Right. I "didn't understand." Obviously you weren't really saying what you thought you were saying.

Because money does not buy fulfillment . It's not the best recipe for a civilization for it to be based on money as the end goal.

People need social narratives they can believe in and feel a part of. this is why traditionally successful societies have a class of benevolent rich who follow noblesse oblige.

Individual based social media addicted people will be ruined.

Not rich here, but don't have to worry about money.

I lost the love of my life. It was my fault. I will never forgive myself. Life is meaningless now. It was never good, because I have social anxiety, but now is unbearable.

What can money do? I can buy sex, booze, travels.. but I don't even have the will to get out of bed. I can't buy her back...

I imagine it's like that with rich people. Money helps, but doesn't cure somethings that are worse than death
