My guess (as someone who used to be a lurker) is that its either that some people just come here seeking information on methods and not community, so they leave once they've found what they're looking for, or they may just be too shy to interact with anyone. I think as much as one may want to talk or reach out, it can be very nerve wracking to take the plunge (speaking from expirience lol)
I lurked for a long time, i was really afraid of making account tbh.Maybe the most suicidal people are the lurkers. Perhaps most of them just visit the site to choose a random CTB method and immediately execute it with no second thoughts without anyone knowing about it. It's a bit haunting
Afraid that the forum may have been a honeypot ?I lurked for a long time, i was really afraid of making account tbh.
Yeah makes sense. We must remember that it's still a taboo and seem as shameful to talk about suicide in most countries, so perhaps some people are only looking for methods or justifications to ease their willing to die and not feeling as weirdos for thinking so.
It's very possible as well, but having more than 4000 bots on the same site at all times is crazyI think many of them are bots.
That is why i use VPNAnd there's also the fear of being traced, of this forum being watched by authorities and IPs traced (at least I had some of that fear).
But yeah, I guess most is people that just came looking for information or that feels that they don't have anything valuable to say (you probably have though).
Ngl so real I fucking hate ppl who just react with those emoji things and dont comment. Especially on posts that are asking a question. As I'm typing this the current amount of "guests" (lurkers) browsing this site is more than 20 times higher than the current amount of logged-in members.
Why are there always such a huge amount of lurkers here ?
None are bots; you can tap "Members online" and it shows you a breakdown of numbers of members, guests, and bots on separate tabs—the total number of bots aren't counted in this total.I think many of them are bots.

I am not sure whether all guests are humans. There are bots that are labelled as bots officially. But how reliable is this?None are bots; you can tap "Members online" and it shows you a breakdown of numbers of members, guests, and bots on separate tabs—the total number of bots aren't counted in this total.
Imagine yourself walking into a party full of strangers. Kinda like that. Now, if you are autistic as an example of possible lurkers here, then the fear is heightened. As I'm typing this the current amount of "guests" (lurkers) browsing this site is more than 20 times higher than the current amount of logged-in members.
