Discussion Who actually killed themselves here?

Yeah I understand that the mother is grieving but it really annoys me that she's trying to close the forum. Like, there is ONE place where people can be honest and find information THEY ARE DETERMINED TO SEEK. There are gazillion of "help" contacts and sites that come up in the browser if you write "suicide". She could have gone to any one of those if that was what she wanted.

And people are trying to take this away from people to whom it is so important. Busybodies.

I wonder if there are some people on here who would lie about ctb for there own twisted reasons? Like for example when someone posts they are leaving etc and doing it now or taking it now. They could be lying and just leave the site then however I think that this probably isn't the case with the majority. It could happen with a few I guess there is no way to know. Most people seem pretty genuine and are for real because there is a lot of suffering. People are truly suffering and I think that most of the ones who say they are ctb now probably really did. What do you think? Ideally nobody would have to ctb but we live in a messed up world with lots of problems. Apparently metal chic ctb. Didn't get a chance to know her but she seemed cool and was surprisingly calm when she went.

I think there are definitely some. There are twisted liars everywhere at Internet about big stuff like this. Also about being terminally ill, sexually abused, parent of a sick child, etc. These happen in real life too (Munchausen or Munchausen by proxy, for example) - it is so much easier to get that sort of attention for whatever needs it serves online.

Most would be genuine. I think there's not point dwelling overmuch on it - there is not really a good way to know. If someone becomes personally very involved with an individual user it may be different. There are some warning signs when you observe a person over time.

It's unfortunate, but there have been incidents here where people have lied about their ctb and come on an alt account to see how people have responded to the loss. While it was very twisted and many people were hurt by it, I could also understand why they'd go to that length to just see if someone cared about them. Because they probably didn't have that in real life. Still very twisted and not okay, by any means.

Totally understand what your saying. But just want to confirm metal chic did indeed ctb, I seen her obituary. Only reason I'm commenting is because I wouldnt like anyone to think someone who genuinely did ctb was someone acting. I know that's not what your saying by the way! But just wanted to confirm that one. But there is for sure people not genuine here, unfortunately.
