I can only speak for myself of course, but this site is the closest thing I've felt to belonging somewhere. And I'm trying to show others how much I appreicate them. It's not meant to be cliquey, even if it may come across that way.

I understand what you were expressing but you need to realise that many people have been here a couple of years, or they are active members on the site & have developed friends here.
I don't intend to be here for years that makes no sense to me .... I think you just misunderstood the meaning behind the post thats all ... just IMO & & I'm a nobody on here

I get what you're saying. I don't belong anywhere. I am always a stranger in every situation.

And I'm trying to show others how much I appreicate them.

I also get what you are saying.


Subdivisions and hierarchies are fundamental in societies. I don't think I've ever heard of a group of people without some sort of hierarchy.

The sad part is that someone has to out, so others can be in, and someone has to be at the bottom, so others can be on top. I wish we lived in a better world where no one ever had to be left out or feel inferior. Alas...

Anyway, what I want to say is that, while I feel @Xocoyotziin 's words in my bones, I find there's value in complimenting other members you get to know and appreciate over time.

There are so many dark clouds on this forum, it's nice to let some sunshine in every now and then.
