Good question. Im trying to decide between my place and a secluded location.
I live alone in my apartment and no one comes to visit or anything, however I do live very close to a hospital and I'm taking N. So in the off chance that the landlord comes into my apartment or there's a fire in the building within the 12 hour period, I could fail. The secluded location is the safer bet, it's just less comfortable.
I just thought that might be overkill since I already have a place where I live alone. But that just may be the middle ground between the 2 things I stated. That might be the best option. But the hotel staff will probably be pissed when they find out I'm a local. They'll say: "why did this guy burden us with his shit rather than just doing this at his own place". lol.

They might, but probably wouldn't even think this. I think people CTB in hotels all the time for various reasons. I know personally I want to CTB in a comfortable place. I'm going with N, so I know it will work but I don't want to do it out in the cold somewhere. It'll be our last moments here
I have been contemplating whether to get a hotel or air bnb to ctb. Absolutely do not want to do it at home as I do not want my family members to find me. Same for air bnb, wouldn't want to leave them with a nightmare of finding a body in their home. The best bet would be at a hotel.
Wow I was thinking of starting a thread with this exact topic!
A hotel may be better but I would prefer my landlord found me so she can send or arrange delivery of my suicide notes. I would worry that hotel staff might not care (albeit unlikely) as they it must just be a normal working=hazard of running a hotel.
At home, lying on my porch swing, looking out at the night.
I bought the house to share with my ex, I built the porch swing to share with my ex, the nights spent cuddled with her are some of my favorite memories. With that life gone, it seems a good place to ctb.
At home in my room, with the door locked. Thinking about putting a note on the door or something to not enter and instead call 911. Don't know if that would really work as I imagine it would though.

Wow that is really romantic way to Ctb. A great idea. The places where I might do it with your logic are places that are too crowded.
If you do that you risk alerting the hotel staff before you are dead.

Here in my room, if I will get N. Nobody checks me during the night time. Of course would be much better to have a locker, but I am not afraid. My parents are very old and they always sleep well. At least they won't notice anything finding me fast asleep after consuming N. In the morning or noon they will feel something suspicious. I'll be dead already..

Among forests, cliffs, and the sea---all in one place. I already have a specific place in mind, and I never go a day without thinking about it. I would ideally die at some point during the evening, preferably in a grave which I have dug beforehand. And I would have to make sure that my grave was in a sufficiently secluded spot so nobody would stumble across me. I know that people don't always die right away after taking Nembutal.
Ugh, dying properly....all of it seems so insurmountable yet so necessary at the same time.
I'll probably either do it in a vehicle, a hotel room, or my bedroom. I'd still work hard to find a location secluded enough and quiet enough where intervention and being found is limited. Of course, if I am unable to, then I'd have to choose a bedroom or hotel room and while it is traumatic to the people who see it, I feel a bit less guilty after what the world and most of it's people have put me through while I am alive. If it is possible (and feasible - without risking failure/getting stopped/getting caught) to go to a forest or some wasteland and then off myself, then I'd do that.
