Hello everyone, now I'm considering to run away and become homeless. I'm stuffed with my parents and going to live by myself, I'll emigrate to my motherland - Ukraine. There I'll try to find a job ( ive studied surveying and worked as receptionist before).

But, honestly, I'm very afraid of becoming raped or failing with job.
So I'm considering ctb as well.

Please write down your thoughts like if you were in my situation, thank you

One helpful thing you can do is write on big sheet of paper, a list containing all of your available options. Also, describe in detail the consequences (pro and con) of each option.

Running away from home shouldn't be taken lightly. What are the chance percentage of you surviving out there? I assume living with your family give you the advantage of financial stability (you can eat, sleep, guaranteed). Don't underestimate such financial privilege.

I ran away from home before on impulse. I did it 2 days after the end of my dad's funeral. Unlike you, my intention was not work/independence. I was going to ctb (without knowing the method). I went to other city 100+ km away with taxi and stayed at a cheap inn. It was not a pleasant experience.

Long story short. I chose to return back home after 3 days. My departure created significant impact to the family dynamic, and it was not a welcome change. Damages had been done and they couldn't be undone. Did I regret it? No, for personal reason.

I just want to say that, you should consider carefully from multiple angles before leaving your family. Do the research and make sure you are 120% ready for whatever consequences and also new opportunities waiting out there.

Thanks a lot @Escaper Boy, I've already fucked up my life - have no job ( there is little employment in Italy), have lost university, developed a bulimia which literally destroyed my body. Now, I can't see any opportunity here ( my father, which is divorced, wouldn't accept me), can't stay with my mother which is constantly trying to show me that I'm a useless shit. I need an escape from this

There are things like workaway.org, that let you stay in exchange for some kind of help. Maybe you could see if there are any of those in Ukraine, arrange to stay there so you have a base while you're looking for a job?

You're welcome, I don't know how much it helps but just glancing at the listings, some look quite cool. Some offer payment too, might be good to have the stability of a place to stay and some money.

I'm in a similar position, I have no job and lost my university place. Feel free to pm me if you want to talk about it, I'm going out in a second so might not reply right away.

Here in the U.s there are youth centers, job corps, homeless shelters for the youth depending on age. If you're in another country, could you possibly look into living assistance? Being homeless is not the best option. You're more vulnerable to any type of crime, especially alone. I wouldn't recommend dying because you want to leave home. (Not trying to belittle your feelings)

Have you tried other family members? Maybe an aunt or a grandparent you could stay with, someone you could possibly trust...
I'm sorry home life isn't the best; really wish you well.

For me, it would be CTB especially if it is chronic or long term homelessness, like having no support network or people to couch surf and having to live on the streets for an extended amount of time. I don't have the street smarts nor survival skills to live on the streets, and I grew up mostly sheltered.
