Unlikely to be during but probably right beforehand if it's not an impulse decision. Music gets really distorted when you're partly conscious and I think it's possible that would cause me to panic.

But I do have a final playlist. Any song off of Sufjan Stevens' Carrie & Lowell. Drawn to the Blood would be perfect, especially the closing instrumental.

Music will be about the last thing on my mind when I'm about to ctb. I won't want any distractions that may interfere with successfully carrying out what I will be doing. That's what works for me. I understand it may not work for everyone.

I would be listening to a bunch of amazarashi songs before doing it. I'm not quite sure if I'd be able to calm down and focus if I listen to music while in the midst of hanging myself. It would be too distracting.

This, in particular, would be the last song I'd ever listen to. It's my favorite amazarashi song. I've decided on this being my "last song" a long time ago and I haven't really found anything else that I liked more than this song.
