I have been on various meds since I was 17 and I was just wondering what others have to take to get through the day.

My daily tablets consist of:

amitriptyline
diazepam
escitalopram
lamotrigine
lithium carbonate
propranolol
venlafaxine

None of which help me with my depression.

Nothing.

I have been on Fluoxetine (Prozac)- didn't seem to do anything. I also tried St John's Wort and 5-HTP- which I think maybe helped a bit.

For me though- creativity is my 'drug'. If only I could do that and survive financially- I would be in a better state.

I have been on Fluoxetine as well, and it didn't do anything for me even though I was told it was a wonder drug at the time.

Mirtazapine 45mg. I don't know if it helps or it is detrimental to my general health. Probably both. Helps me sleep, but causes general slow down in thinking. Withdrawing from is impossible, when I last tried I was this close to drinking SN.

I put a little weight on when I took Mirtazapine (brand Zispin), and as it had no benefits for me I asked to be taken off it.

I'm currently taking escitalopram. Idk what it does , but I definitely have had less depression episodes while on it.

For Psych-meds, I'm off of these:
Abilify (apriprazole)
Lexapro (escitalopram)
Effexor (venlafaxine)
Still taking:
Wellbutrin (bupropion)
Other meds:
Levothyroxine for my thyroid
Finasteride for several of the side effects
Spironolactone lowers testosterone
Estradiol estrogen hormone supplement
I do plan on getting off Wellbutrin too. My mental state has been pretty level. Yay remission! But the forum has helped along side therapy.

Lamictal
Nortriptyline
Lithium
Methyfolate supplement (this isn't a medication as such; still I urge anyone taking an antidepressant to look into this because if your methylfolate production happens to be compromised, antidepressants will be less effective)

Mirta 45mg. Amitrip 30mg. Propranolol 40mg x3. Gained weight. Nightmares and waking up. Tired all the time. Massive headaches. Still depressed, anxious and wanting to ctb (a bit less than before mirta, but still).

I'm only naming the psych meds, because nobody cares about my stomach issues or allergies 🤣

I'm on:
Lamictal
Zoloft
Klonopin
Addderall

I haven't been formally diagnosed, but it's pretty much known to my therapist and nurse practitioner that i have depression, anxiety, ADHD, BPD, and PMDD

The zoloft is the only one where i really question how much it helps. I was presccribed 50mg daily, but 100mg for the week before my period due to PMDD. PMDD fucking SUCKS and that week is when i really feel hopeless and depressed and fixate on suicide. The zoloft helped IMMENSELY for the first few months but now it seems to not help as much. I'm pissed - i should have gotten way more than a few months before it loses its effectiveness.

Anyone else struggle with PMDD?

Fluoxetine which turns down volume of my suicidal thoughts and means I can physically get out of bed
Just prescribed olanzapine as add on. But have decided to keep trying LSD microdose for a few more weeks before starting it.

Lyrica and oxycodone for pain. I used to take Wellbutrin for years but it stopped working. I tried Cymbalta for awhile, but it gave me a permanent side effect and now i'm worse off than I was before.

I've been on 35 different psych meds over the past 30 years that didn't work for me. I'm very medication resistant. I keep a spreadsheet of them so I can tell new docs what I've already tried (so they don't waste my time on things already tried). I'll list below only psych meds I'm currently taking.

Adderall
Ambien
Lamotrigine
Lithium Carbonate
Lorazepam
Prazosin
Trazodone

This current cocktail isn't working any magic for me. I will likely successfully ctb before that happens.

sorry for my ignorance, i myself too used many kinds of SSRIs before, but is it normal to take that many meds all together for depression?

At the moment, Duloxetine, Seroquel ER and IR, Gabapentin and Oxcarbazepine.

Seems like I've been on almost SSRI - some made me manic and skinny. Same with Wellbutrin. I took lithium for a long time, but went toxic for no obvious reason so that's off the table now.

Ah, bipolar sucks.

I've been on them all.

Most didn't really help. The ones that did help had side-effects that are too bad (mirtazapine and paxil)

Now I'm trying out cerebrolysin intranasal and I've been doing magic mushrooms every couple weeks
