What is the quickest and least paiful way to commit suicide?

I'm not so sure there is a painless, risk-free way
1. So many people here tout SN (sodium nitrite), but recently a member here live posted as he took it. He said it worked quick. Then he said it was like sh*t and he was sweating, his insides were burning, and he had a hard time breathing.
2. I've heard of the CO (carbon monoxide) method failing. Plus there's the risk of fire with it.
3. I live in the USA. In my state, I could walk in a store and walk right out with a gun. But what if I don't aim properly? Even an inch off could cause to feel immense pain or leave me permanently disabled.

I recently talked to a therapist about CTB. (I truthfully told her I had only been researching was in no immediate danger of doing it.) She told me she has had people who had "woken up" from all kinds of failed attempts.

I joined this site to research an easy way to CTB in case I ever got unemployed and AI made it impossible to find work. I was very discouraged that there isn't a quick and easy guaranteed way to CTB. It disturbs me when I think about that.

do you have access to SN guy's report? I'm surprised at the "insides were burning" and "hard time breathing", because that would be an awful way to go, especially the suffocation.

I think that's wrong, I think there's no GUARANTEED way to ctb without any pain or discomfort. There's always gonna be variability and some people will get the short end of the stick. But as with most things there's gonna be a normal distribution where most people are not gonna get it the worst, and some people are gonna be lucky and some people just have bad luck.

Also in that example of the guy who (probably) died from SN, the fact that he was still able to sit behind his PC or was on his phone and typed those messages tells me it's probably a pretty peaceful way to go even in less than ideal outcome (not losing consciousness early let's say). A lot of methods would put your mind and body in so much distress or panic that there's no way you'd be able to do that.

Hanging with the right instructions. I have experience and can say that it is as quick and painless as if it were a dream. And it is so effective that it is even a little scary.

That method doesn't look good, because it would likely produce nasty byproducts that are significantly unpleasant to inhale.

If I wanted to make HCN, I'd rather use decomposition of some hexacyanoferrate by dilute sulfuric acid. In many countries, sales of hexacyanoferrates are not restricted.

Yes there are other byproducts produced including volatile organic compounds which burn the throat however the real reason I'm not doing this method anymore is because of the potential for uncontrollable flames.

Guns were the only method I considered at first, after I looked at the statistics. But the more I thought about it, I realized just how wrong that could go. My plan A is now nitrogen, which seems to me to be the most painless option, but that's highly technique dependent, and if one small thing is done wrong or goes wrong, it won't work. My plan B is sn, but it sounds like it might be a rough 10-20 minutes or so before consciousness is lost. It would be ideal if I could combine plan A and plan B, but since vomiting is so common with sn, that would not be so great with an exit bag.

I understand I've been out of work for literally years, only do small temp things. I apply all day on indeed and nothing. That's why I want to CTB. About 5k applications. I stay with family and some investment income from selling my home. endless rejection emails, I can't take it anymore. My sanity and patience is gone.
