Why is this so hard?

For my personal circumstances as it is right now, I think it would be having to help my mother because of her physical ailments . So selfish, I know I'm a horrible person, but there's a reason I knew I never wanted kids. It's not like I have to help her a ton but like currently she has dressing that needs to be changed a few times a day and last night all I wanted was go to to bed And I had to wait for her to be ready.
If I were normal and was actively contributing to society, I know it would be working at a job I would hate in order to not be homeless.
