A novel that has a personal impact on you and you think it's the greatest novel you've ever seen and it will affect other people as it has to you too.

I love On the Far Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George. I don't necessarily think that it impacted me a lot, but I read it when I was in the psych ward after I tried to kms. It was so good. For context, I am not the type of person to be reading novels. I have a very bad attention span. I genuinely cannot focus on things for no longer than 2 minutes. I hate it, but I sadly live with it. So reading that book and not losing focus must've meant that it was that good to catch my interest. It was a very interesting story. You can look up the summary of it. It's been a while since I read it. It's basically about a boy who chooses to go live up in the mountains with his bird, but the law takes his bird away because it's endangered and he starts to feel lonely. His sister later goes up to live with him, but leaves afterwards without a notice. He gets worried so he goes looking for her. She leaves clues and poems for him as he searches. There's more to it than what I said obviously. It was fun.

A road with no end, by Mochtar Lubis. It's basically about a coward who got peer pressured into working for the rebel.

It's a very psychological book, and also historical.

I read Mornings in Jenin recently (actually finished it yesterday lol). I don't normally cry because of books, but the ending had me crying

my fave book is for sure the first fifteen lives of harry august by claire north, ive probably read it 3-4 times, i love the non linearity and the concept of the world as well as the various alternate histories. it also gives me the desperate hope that maybe i get another chance at this life after it ends.

An Indonesian novel thats pretty niche. What causes you to get into Indonesian literature? If I may ask.

It was actually an assignment from an indonesian language subject back in high school, I ended up liking it.
