Discussion What Is a Good Suicide Note Comprised Of?

Hello everyone!

What do you feel a good suicide note is comprised of? I know I should give reasons why, even though it feels like that won't do any good. I've tried telling people why I feel the way I do, and all I'm met with is ways to "fix it." I feel like it won't really do anything, and they'll just feel I shouldn't of died, and they should have helped somehow, or something.

I'm going to attempt to explain what I've gone through, how life in general makes me feel, etc.

I've also considered just writing a short metaphorical story, as I feel I'm better expressing myself though writing those?

Regardless, is there anything else I should have? Maybe to try to get into this headspace, what would you want to see in one, if you received one?

(Fun fact: This question got me banned from r/SuicideWatch, and caused me to find this website, lol.)

its either fuck you or thank you depending on the person, but definitely include some closure regardless

Just write what you feel, how you feel it and why do you feel is the best choice. There's no rule for it. If it is aimed at loved ones try to give closure in some way.

Like what stupidcat said, there are no rules for a suicide note. this isnt some high school essay where you have to follow a rubric and get graded on it, just write whatever you feel like writing. if you want to try and write about your feelings and struggles leading up to the moment in the hopes of people understanding your pain after you're gone then write that, if you want to blame and criticize the specific people who pushed you to this point then go for it. you could even make it a rick roll if you didnt care
