What effects do the repetitive drum beats in old rap songs have on the brain?

I started listening to some rap songs I liked from the 2000s and that repetitive drum beat is in most songs and it feels like I'm falling under hypnosis as I listen. Creepy. I listened to that stuff 24/7. I wonder what it did to my brain.
