I have no children. Almost all of my family lives far away. My father died years ago. My mother is 91, quite ill, and in a nursing home. I suppose I should finally write a legal will.
I have a few friends but they would likely be overwhelmed with the task. Even if there were people to attend a funeral service, I don't have the money to pay for it nor a lot in a cemetery. I don't care what happens when I am dead. In some ways I'm glad that there will be few people to suffer my passing but in some ways the whole thing seems very lonely to me. As in life, so in death.

Throw it out in the trash for all I care. But what will probably happen is I'll get cremated and then people will move on. (Which is good, I'm not keen on having a funeral).

Cremated. And then if I was feeling poetic before I go I might mention that I'd like to have my ashes scattered over fjords in Norway somewhere.

I'd rather not have a funeral too as I wouldn't all that money being spent on me when I'm dead, but unfortunately there's nothing I can really do to stop that. I guess if my family finds it helpful then who am I to stop them.

I don't want to impose my will on something that is, ultimately, not for me.
If they want to cremate me and flush me down the toilet because of the shitty things I've done, I would be fine with it. If they decide to have an expensive ceremony and invite everyone that ever knew me to bury me next to my sweet great-grandmother whom I totally don't deserve to lay beside, I'm equally fine.
Funerals, gravestones and such are for the living, imo, so they should make the arrangements that suit them best.
