I dont think very highly of it. It is fast, painless, and pretty much 100% success, but I think SI would be crazy but the bigger point is, that the guy who drives the train could be fckn traumatized and it is more or less a public space so other people could see you too and get traumatized aswell…
What is ur opinion?

it doesn't have to be public. I know rural freight rails nearby. Just hide in a shrub and jump out in front of a coal train. I think the noise and vibration of everything would kick survival instinct into high gear though.

I used to be into it at the start, but then I realized how big of a deal it is. SI would kick in very easily. Not feeling great about the body part as well anymore. And those fucking cowcatchers.

Forget it.
There was an article in a Swiss newspaper about the enormous number of people who survive this method, as cripples.

I don´t remember. There are better, more peaceful and reliable methods.
Yeah thats definitely true, but I always thought of train+decapitation as really reliable

why does it matter?
I cannot speak for MrDarkness but I feel a lot of people would want to go with dignity. I would want my loved ones to be able to recognise me, and even though I would be dead, the thought of being dismembered or something is very uncomfortable

Exactly, having my body intact, my parents can at least see my face at the funeral, not some hunk of flesh, plush I wanna donate my organs

I like it. I don't like peaceful methods like gas, SN, charcoal etc. I like the idea of a suicide that is almost instant and has a sort of "pulling the trigger" moment to it and then, boom, over. Shooting, jumping, train, etc. are much more appealing to me.

I don't think I could ever do it. I could easily access a train station but it's definitely not the method for me

i would never wish this method on anybody!

as previously stated here, you can survive an attempt, but it'll most likely leave you agonisingly disabled - the risk for me is just too great.

i want to minimise the collateral with my ctb - a method such as train jumping would cause so much trauma to witnesses that i could never think to attempt this.

This is exactly what I am going to be doing one week from now. I will be very calm and relaxed as it is happening. I will be doing it a few minutes away from my area, and not hop a train and get off somewhere else as I have previously considered.

It's exactly how I want to go, and this is exactly what I want to be remembered like.

Doing it that way is brutal and extremely challenging. In my opinion, it's a downright stupid approach. The risks involved are substantial, and the chances of success are disappointingly low. Moreover, it demands an excessive amount of effort. Well if you don't care about the people or the driver it'll be easy but there's still alot of risk like people stopping you and simply just the train not cutting you're head clean off.

Way too brutal and traumatising
For everyone nearby, especially for the train driver.

I just found an Article that said the following: in 2017 140 people died and 14 people seriously injured… that sounds like pretty high chances of success… it of course doesnt show people where SI kicked in, or with "light or no injuries", but I dont think they exist with the train method…

Its by a government news portal so the numbers should be correct…

Sounds terrifying to me and of course it sounds horrific this method potentially failing. But I admire the courage of those who managed to succeed with this method, I envy them as they managed to escape from all the suffering and if other people get upset from witnessing a train suicide then that's the fault of this anti-suicide society where people are denied access to more peaceful and reliable method options. Ideally none of us would have to resort to methods like this and we would be able to exit in a more peaceful way.

Need a lot of courage, but jump at the right time, and you'll be gone in an instant. I consider the train method as my absolute last resort. And I have a bit of a selfish opinion in terms of the onlooker. I'm not exactly in a position to care about them, plus their lives are probably better than mine. Even if they need some therapy for witnessing a suicide by train, the stress I cause them will be much less than what I have to endure.

Grew up around a train yard and know of quite a few people that been hit one , I knew personally who survived. He got hit cuz he had his headphones in and didn't hear the train coming or didn't feel the vibration I guess...anyways He got hit on his side breaking his shoulder and arm and that's it. On another occasion the person hit there was nothing left of. One of the train workers exact words after I asked him what did the guy look like was "hamburger"...none of the workers seemed particularly traumatized either ,almost like they are used to dealing with this kind of thing....where there's train tracks there's usually drugs , where there's drugs there's usually homeless and crazy people, and where there's homeless and crazy people there's ususaly all kind of shit happening...they probably deal with it more often than u think.

Personally not for me. Seen too many videos. I would be afraid my SI would go into over drive.
