I remember that too. Sky movies, here in the UK. I was addicted! What's your Favourite bond movie?...

Have you seen 'The beales of grey gardens' and 'That summer'? These also feature the Edies.

I actually haven't but I've heard about them! They are on my to-watch list! :smiling: The Edies are so pathologically fascinating....

@notjustyetagain Impressive, you mentioned a bunch of my favorites that I have never seen someone mention before.

Here are a small fraction of mine, off the top of my head. My memory isn't very good so there is plenty I have forgot. I tried to not list anything that has already been listed and I tried to not list anything mainstream or well known. Here is a decent wide range of movies, some are just mindless vulgar comedies and other are offensive or deal with triggering subject matter. Keep that in mind if any of you try to watch any.

Tyrannosaur 2011
Eagle vs Shark 2007
Transamerica 2005
Dedication 2007
Mozart and the Whale 2005
Palindromes 2004
Ratcatcher 1999
The Lobster 2015
Ravenous 1999
Everything is illuminated 2005
Choke 2008
The Band's Visit 2007
Factotum 2005
First Snow 2006
Ghost World 2001
Ghost Dog The Way of the Samurai 1999
Henry Poole Is Here 2008
House of Sand and Fog 2003
Keeping Mum 2005
Kes 1969
Kinky Boots 2005
L.I.E. 2001
Let me in 2010
The Machinist 2004
The Motel 2005
Peacock 2010
Perfume: The story of a murderer 2006
Son of Rambow 2007
Venus 2006
The Woodsman 2004
Big Fan 2009
Me and You and Everyone We Know 2005
Sex Lives of the Potato Men 2004
Me and Earl and the Dying Girl 2015

Too many to count but I'm a huge horror fanatic. I think Doctor Sleep and The House That Jack Built have been my more recent favorites.

I despise violent productions when they're only about free entertainment. In this genre, maybe I was the most disturbed by Hostel (1 & 2) which is about a wealthy secret org kidnapping backpackers to torture them. Or The human centripede. I can't tell I'm enjoying them, but still masochist enough to satisfy the curiosity, once (no rewatch)

Curiously, I'm a huge fan of Kim Ki Duk movies, where violence can be rude & omnipresent (for instance, Pieta). I make the difference that it's a very realistic kind, I'd comment representative of the human's nature. I'd dare to say, not fictional, which I judge more rational to depict. When it's not the case, it brings me more in mind the human's disgrace, especially when they're botched for a quick buck (sequels)

Psychological fear is more my thing, if sophisticated. Most recently seen, Midsommar, about a sect with weird sacrifice rituals. Again, wasn't much a fan of the discomfort but at least it had a few cerebrally twisted scenes.
Or, It follows, Get out

4 fantastic ones, not well known neither having been quoted yet, so worth mentioning

neat vampire one

again from scandinavia

gorey, second degree pastiche

sweet comedy

Sex Lives of the Potato Men is a mindless vulgar comedy. The childish part of me enjoys vulgarity. It is the only one of my list like that but I wanted to provide a spectrum.
