[Forever Sleep]

I was so looking forward to 'The Thursday Murder Club' and, the first series of 'House of the Dragon'. Don't get me wrong. It's not like I hated either. They were both good in places- I thought. It's just maybe that the hype for the first went on for so long and, the second had 'Game of Thrones' to live up to, that they did fall flat a bit- for me.

That said, I'm reasonably good at enjoying something on its own merits. I don't have a favourite James Bond actor for example. I enjoy them all in their own way. But, I think hype can sometimes ruin things in a way..

I was kind of lucky with things like Game of Thrones and Harry Potter because, I got into both really late so, in both cases, most of the films/ books were already out and, I had less time to wait.

I'm looking forward to a couple of game releases but, I would probably need to buy a new console to actually play them so, that will maybe put me off.

What have been your most awaited media products? Did they end up worth the wait? Have you ever gone to extreme lengths to be one of the first to buy them? Camped outside shops? Waited hours in a queue? I've never been that dedicated really. Maybe once, trying to buy concert tickets.

Every couple of weeks I check up to see if there's any news for The Elder Scrolls 6. I know it's going to be a complete disaster of a game, but whatever.

The new Sonic movie, the fnaf2 movie, getting my first car, there's a lot of things I'm looking forward too a lot lately. Keeps me from thinking. A lot of great manga came out this year! Seasonal anime has been hit or miss. Nothing was really anti-climatic as I'm not one to stay hyped for something for long periods of time.

I was looking forward to the Chainsaw Man movie and really enjoyed it! I think it lived up to the unreasonable hype I put it too, but I think it was mostly because as long as the animation was good (which it definitely was) and they didn't change any major aspects of the story it was already set up to be a success based on the source material. I am also looking forward to seeing Wake Up Dead Man and Wicked: For Good when they come out later this year, as well as the Hello Kitty movie that got announced recently! I just hope I manage to hold on until then :p

As for anticlimaxes, I was super psyched for Tsukasa's 5th event in Project Sekai. It got announced right as my obsession with the game really amped up, and I was excited to see how they would incorporate my favorite character in a more traditional Japanese setting. I'm not sure if it was because I set up the expectations way too high, but the event as a whole was a disappointment, and in my opinion, probably the worst event in the game story wise. It did nothing for his character or the overall story of the troupe and felt like a waste of my time.

the homestuck animated series is totally getting greenlit (don't believe we've seen official confirmation but there would have to be some serious fuck ups for it to not happen) and if i live to see it i'll be suuuper hyped!!! }:D i really loved the pilot even if i had quite a few problems with it. i'm looking forward to seeing what they do with the series itself as well as how they handle common criticisms of the pilot!!!!

I'm kind of looking forward to the One Piece ending. I haven't read it in a while (left at chapter 1119), but overall when I was reading/watching it was fun from the beginning. A bummer thought is that people might spoil me before I see it, even though I don't really browse much social media, except for specific stuff. But likely the one piece reveal will be huge, and it might be all over the internet.

AI might become decently fun as it gets more advanced, especially with uncensored roleplay models. Right now it's a bit too manual. In order to have a good story I have to basically do the story myself. What's the point in using the AI then? Although I don't have money for good models, so current mileage may vary.

I'm looking forward to the new haunted hotel season. Idk when it's supposed to come out though but probably some time next year because the first season came out in September.

I'm looking forward to GTA 6, have many good memories of playing the franchise with my dad when I was younger.

I haven't been able to read books since I started high school because of the horrible workload and depression, so I'm hoping to read the next year when the college workload is a bit lesser.
