Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I've been making my plan to ctb for some time now. I've decided that when I've finally had enough, I'm going to

1. Find some way to middle America, multiple states away from where I live now. I'm gonna ditch my phone and wallet along the way or just leave them at home. I don't want to drive for obvious reasons when it comes to identification
2. Rent some cheap hotel for a few days to delay my body being found
3. Follow through with the SN method, no note

I want everyone that knows me to be under the impression that I just disappeared in the middle of the night and never returned. I don't want my university to publish anything. I don't want my family to be informed of my death.

I have a few piercings (septum, ear lobes), but I don't think they're specific enough for identification. No tattoos. I've never been involved in any legal trouble, so I don't believe my fingerprints should be in any type of database. I did have a small dental procedure done in my childhood, but I haven't been back in years and I heard that dental records can only be used for confirmation, not identification.

Am I overthinking this? What's the chance that some random police department will notice it's a suicide when they see the SN and all the other pills and just move on without attempting to identify the body or family?

Face the end.

Even in the scenario that your face looks completely unrecognizable and you have absolutely no documentation immediately available on your person, there is a very high chance that you'll be identified regardless. They can also use DNA analysis and compare your samples to those of people in missing persons' databases (they do not need a direct sample, they can just take traces from objects you're known to have interacted with before, or hair you've shed around your home, etc). People will likely give a general description of your body and clothes as well, not just your face.
Having dental records also doesn't help your case, either.

Unless you're not found for years on end, or your body is pulverized altogether, you'll be identified.

Why?

Aren't your parents/family/friends going to report you missing? Soon as they do, you're in a country-wide database. Authorities will collect dna from your items at home. Someone will find you eventually. Then it's just a matter of matching dna from your remains with dna in the database.

as soon as someone reports you missing they will probably figure it out, not that i support you doing this but your best bet is to never be found. maybe walk deep into a national forest or something idk.

I'm trying to figure this out too. I think if you don't want to be IDed you have to die somewhere you won't be found. I'm struggling to come up with a good place to do that, but I was thinking of going into a hard-to-access area of a cave since I'm smaller than the average person, but idk if that's good enough

This was possible into the mid 70's.
Now they are going back and identifying all those unknown dead.
Focus more on your method so you do it well.
