I fear regretting it as soon as it's too late to change my mind.

my one fear with jumping is not being high enough and being conscious after hitting the ground. sounds like hell
In most case, if high enough, it will be over in a few seconds- but if you just happen to land in a way to somehow breaks the falls enough to survive tehn it will be very bad- some people have a gust of wind that pushes them against a building or someone walks beneath them unexpectedly, you never know.

oh my god i couldn't imagine being unlucky enough to land on somebody. at that point you're potentially dealing with failure and guilt

It was my preferred method prior to spending more time on here and reading about SN. I'd spend all day imagining it over and over. Couldn't bring myself to do it though, SI was too intense when I tried.

You can die from falling backwards and hitting your head from no height at all. But itr's just a matter of what the odds are. Most people won't try from lesss than 10 stories or 100 feet or so, 200 feet if over water.

On its own, it's not reliable. There is a great chance you won't die and end up with some very serious injuires.

If you jump into a freezing cold river, combined with hypothermia and drowning, and noone notices you, that's a different story. But I woulnd't try jumping on any hard surfaces.
The place I have guarantees death impossible to survive

Would be an empty landing zone in the middle of the night

Just gotta be brave for a few seconds
Yes, but sometimes people think they can do it and they get there and physiclaly start shaking and can't force themselves to do it- each person is different.

I'm hoping that once there I'll be able to do it. I visited the spot a lot to prepare and I pass it almost everyday. I know what time it will be deserted and ill keep my ID in my pocket for identification after.

You will start shaking. The question is, if you will jump or not. Fear will always be there. SI isn't that dumb

It's my third method, I'd say. It scares me a lot, because I think the SI would make it almost impossible to me (but some alcohol could make it work) and also the fear of failing and getting brain damage or something. Also I'd have to look for a place to do it, because I don't have access to tall buildings in my town.
Anyway, my sister's friend did it. She jumped from a not so tall building (maybe 20m, idk). I think she landed on her head, because people at the funeral were saying that the back of her head was pretty damaged, but I know she didn't die instantly. She died on the way to the hospital. And she looked pretty and peaceful on the coffin.

Not a 100% but it's probably close to 8-9 stories onto flat concrete floor

That is borderline to what many consider the minimum, 100 feet onto a hard surface. That's a judgment call based on how much pain you aare in, what other methods you might have access to, and what the timeline might be for things getting worse. Thee is some risk of surviing with bad damage, who knows what the percent is. I hope you can find peace somehow.

The place has already had a few jumpers it's becoming quite popular. All faced immediate death.

Jumping has been my plan for a while now. I have a great location for it
It personally scares the shit outta me. Sliced wrists properly seems easier

The only thing I'm afraid of is failing. I found a cliff not too far from me and I've started contemplating ROLLING off lol.

If I can't bring myself to do a proper jump (I'm sure I can with enough alcohol), then my ass will roll.

When I think about the alternative - waking up another day with this brain and this body - I'll be plenty motivated.

Jumping is my main method. Beachy Head Cliffs is my way out as it's highest point is 531ft drop.

I don't think the highest point is the place to jump. I went there this year and when I looked down it was not a straight drop. I think you need to jump from the lower point to the west, where the base jumpers all jump from. Either way it's still very, very high.

I went to the lighthouse and still from up top it didn't look like a completely sheer drop. A running jump might make it, but the slightly lower section to the west of the lighthouse looked better when I researched it more after failing.

Nope. Couldn't do it. Wouldn't even entertain the thought for a nano-second. No fancy reason why. I'm just chicken-shit for a variety of reasons. Some that come to mind: the courage needed to step off into nothingness, being conscious when I hit, a lifetime of pain and disability and so on.

honestly id never do it. no matter how suicidal you are, on the way down you will be horrified and wishing you didn't do it. its just natural survival instinct. granted, its a very accessible method, and jumping off something isn't actually a difficult act on its own (especially if you just allow yourself to stumble) so i can see why people choose it

My thoughts about jumping (not my preferred method) are: a) Make sure it's very high -- and then add 50 meters, if possible. b) make sure the 'landing' surface is as hard as possible.

Definitely not the best method, but probably better than a lot of other methods, including hanging, fumbling with pills, jumping in front of train and the nitrogen tank, due to the complexity of these methods.

Something tells me that if most people lived within walking distance of an open spot with a height of 10+ floors and a concrete surface below, it would resolve a lot of peoples' unease and anxiety about suicide methods, because they would know that they have a very quick and dependable method should they ever decide to end it.

But getting access to a high enough structure in many urban areas is not as easy as you'd think, as the doors and roof of the vast majority of tall buildings are locked, and even if access could be had, most spots are directly overhead a busy sidewalk. Most bridges are not high enough or have some kind of significant obstructions.
