ways to cbt during visit in the US

I come from a country where it's very hard to cbt in. Very restrictive laws etc. i do have an American citizenship and i'm supposed to visit there soon. i'm visiting California in about two weeks. I know it's a stupid question but are there easier or specific ways i can cbt there? I don't know anything about the laws there but the only thing i was thinking about was somehow getting fent or a gun or going to a shooting range but i don't want to traumatize others
