Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

On another thread I had someone claim SN was very expensive. It sounded strange to me, because as far as I know, SN isn't a controlled or restricted substance and in theory should be accessible to costumers, and is quite accessible where I live, so I decided to look if it was the case in the United States.

I found this bill that had apparently passed the House of Representatives in 2024 but hasn't been ratified yet, which would effectively turn SN into a controlled substance.

I have no stake in this since I'm not American, but I haven't seen it mentioned before so I'm making this thread. Any thoughts?

To me it sounds like a pretty stupid initiative to come from the US. Guns, which are one of the most effective methods, are widely available and legally protected there, and they want to, what, eliminate one niche and relatively peaceful alternative? Would it be better for them for someone to paint a room with their brains? It makes no sense to me... I feel like it'd be fairly obvious enough someone willing to go through a day-long procedure to CTB using a meat curing agent would be determined enough to just pull a trigger.
