• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

i'm seeing a pattern that people will tell their average kids that they're "prodigies" and "gifted" when they're actually just slightly above the norm. Did anyone else have this experience?

I remember being told in 2nd grade and upwards that I was gifted in writing, I bought it. Then, in 8th grade, in a writing competition, I didn't even make top 50. Shattered me.

I was always picked for gifted groups but then would be weakest one. Not sure why I was picked tbh. Except math. I was a top performer in my state. But otherwise kind of dumb.

parents who do this shit are definitely setting their offspring up for failure.
they yearn to live vicariously through the children they have no business having…..if they feel like their children are "gifted", then they will feel "gifted" by proxy.
that's such a pathetic way to raise kids, but that never stops them.😂🤷🏾‍♂️

Yeah. Another problem with that is that people seem to think "good at one thing = good at everything"
