skip to the bottom if you don't want EternalShore's story time~ ✨ xD

alright, so about 2 and a half ago, I took measurements for a dress I got that cost over $100~ :) It's very nice, altho I've noticed that I have a lot more trouble fitting into than I did back then unfortunately~ :( As a result of all this, I did expect that my shoulders had grown some~ In addition, recently, I got inspired to start building up muscles in more appealing parts of my body to attract guys~ Then, after seeing some middle school girls were even thinner than I am (I've always been very thin as a result of undiagnosed ARFID), I retook some of my measurements today~ And well, they suck garbage~ :/ my waist went from 26 inches to 28 inches~ eeeee~ >_< My shoulders grew another 0.25 inches~ That's not very much, but when my shoulders are actively screwing me out of or making smaller clothes more uncomfy (like that dress), are embarrassingly wide, and are are already wider than my waist, even that feels so bad~ >_<

On the bright side, my hips grew by 1.75 inches, my chest grew by 0.75 inches, and my thighs grew by 0.75 inches~ however, those hardly matter when my waist grew more than all that~ aaaaa~ >_< I'm also still underweight I'm pretty sure, altho idk~ :/ I just want better proportions~ >_< I don't care about all that! altho, something else I'll say is that I got called chicken legs in high school, and whenever I didn't wear long sleeves or glasses, people would definitely comment like "Oh..." :((( I asked a guy recently about my arms, and he said they're fine tho, altho idk about that either~ regardless, I don't think guys look at your arms to judge your attractiveness~ altho, them going butt>breasts>waist>face is hardly better~ >_<

btw, the exercises I've been doing have been about every other day: 50-60 squats, 50-60 glute bridges, and 100-120 flutter kicks~

anyways, so does anyone know how to continue reduce waist size while increasing other proportions or like any ideas to help with any of this~? thank you~ ^_^

I've heard russian twists can be really neat working in like a few weeks of doing it. Otherwise reducing your waist is pretty hard since it's kinda built into your body composition with your ribcage (bones) being part of it, trying to loose weight in general might make it easier to appear to have a smaller waist. You can also try a waist trainer although it only works temporarily if you just want to dress pretty or see yourself like how you imagine them it'd work I believe.

As a general rule for fitness, you should focus on proper nutrition and rest in addition to your workout routine. "Abs are made in the kitchen" is a popular saying for a reason.

I'm not exactly sure which exercises are best for shrinking the waist, as diet and genetics play a strong role in such things, but I might recommend engaging in more compound bodyweight exercises that can engage multiple muscles at once for maximum efficiency and core engagement.

For example, I might consider incorporating reverse lunges, mountain climbers, standing side reaches, and possibly planks. I think those could engage your glutes and abs simultaneously, as well as your legs and even arms a little bit.

When I was working out for wrestling, I was mostly focused on heavy compound weight lifts with some bicep curls and a few ab exercises for aesthetics, so I might be a little out of my depth on this subject.

I hope you're able to find what works best for you.
