I will take this short summary.
Insane self-help group evening. Drama, drama, drama baby! But gladly unrelated to me. Not sure whether I will elaborate on it soon. But I will give some gems. I was anxious I might been uncomfortable for others the last time. I was sort of paranoid. I thought I would have made other people uncomfortable. But holy cow. This was crazy by some others.
Open gossip about members who were not there in the group. Ranking of women (by someone) in the group who was sexually attractive or not. A member who makes other people uncomfortable starred at another member. The latter member accused the aforementioned member of "gaze fucking". The guy who makes others uncomfortable seemingly made some people quit the group in the past. A woman was out called for gossip about members in the group. She wasn't present though. Later she joined the meeting and an argument started. It felt sort of surreal what happened. And that the organizer didn't intervene.
My comment again: I really wonder which approach the organizer has it is a group for neurodivergent people. My initial thought was: in favor of inclusion no matter the consequences.
There are other explanation. Maybe the goal is self-regulation by the group members. And actually this sort of happened.
Maybe he didn't want tp punish anyone.
High tolerance for socially inappropriate behavior.
Uncertainty which measure were appropriate.
Avoidance of conflicts
Adaptation to this sort of behavior
Honestly, I wish the person who makes other people uncomfortable would not again. Or at least adapt his behavior. The way he talks with women is besetting/pressing. I can understand why others feel uncomfortable. He also starred at me but for a shorter time and it made me uncomfortable too. On the other hand I think accusing him of gaze fucking was unnecessary. And hurt him. I would have prefer a less emotional approahc to confront him with the fact his behavior is socially inappropriate.
