Firstly, money can buy anything (including a good method or VAD), but furthermore that money could provide a lot of peace and comfort for loved ones or others who may be sick and needy. Bring peace to a starving family.

This is a very good question, I originally thought about just dying tonight, so I wouldn't have to do it myself, but with the 100mio, I could get myself a car and drive to some bridge. And I could do some traveling, before I'm dead. The other comments convinced me to rather taking the money than dying

If I were faced with such a choice, I would feel obligated to take the money for my family.
But the money wouldn't change my situation. I would continue to live isolated, afraid of people, unable to enjoy life.
Death in my sleep would solve all my problems forever.

Sure you can, with that amount of money you can afford to travel for a VAD such as Pegasos, Dignitas, or establish a residency in Netherlands where it is perfectly acceptable to die peacefully.
I'm sure with that money someone is willing to sell you a spare vial of their N, or at bare minimum travel to Peru to find more for you; many success stories have been posted about obtaining N.

Nothing money can buy would ever fill the void left by this world of hell. Yeah I could take the money, bequeath it to people, then check out. Honestly that isn't a bad proposition, but making sure I die without fail is more important to me. Call it selfish, but selfish people created these circumstances anyway.What a great question. Almost even split. I would take the money. My stress is about potentially being laid off soon, and having a child I feel I didn't raise properly to have the skills sufficient to support themselves. The money would buy us all the time we need. It's the stress and anxiety of regret and fear of the future that's killing me. But for half the people here, it's money. There is a theory that most mental health issues are money related. Sort of confirms that.

Of course living it up for a while and giving money to a cause or charity before dying in one's sleep would be ideal but if it had to be either or I'd just take dying in sleep. I have no real agency and I'm already a broken, failed person. Being rich wouldn't change that even if it would make waiting things out a lot easier. So yeah, dying in sleep still better.

Well the reason I want to kill myself is because I am drowning in so much debt and I haven't had a decent sleep for months because of it. It sounds selfish but the only way for me to escape this predicament I had put myself in is to ctb. If I ever win that amount of money, even 1 million, it would literally save my life.Non-existence halts the need for any condition to be satisfied or any desired to be fulfilled. I'd rather not have any condition to satisfy or being to sustain than having means to sustain the being and its illusions. No needs to be satisfied is far superior to any kind of resource to satisfy such needs.

I feel like the fact I hesitated to answer shows I'm really fucked in the head and it's so crazy how mental illness can(hypothetically) make you consider turning down 100 MILLION DOLLARS. For a normal person this should be a no brainer but I just want to die so badly I almost don't want to accept the money if it means I'll live another day. But that's just the suicidal part of me, the rational part will take the money obviously. And with that kind of money, I can get euthanasia anyway if I really wanted, and so win-win. I heard it's the only method that doesn't risk pain. I know there's other painless methods but trying to do it myself will end in a mess probably since I'm a fuckup.This poll really needs to be turned into:

Oh yeah you're right, if you changed the question to that I think you would've gotten way more people picking die in your sleep. Like I and many others said, with that much money you could easily afford any suicide method you wanted. And leave the people around you with money once you're gone. Also you'd need to specify HOW suicidal. Like unbearable constant pain that feels like if you don't die right this second it's the end of the world and torture, or wanting to die but similar to craving a snack, you could go with or without and it's not the end of the world? Because there's a huge difference even though you're still suicidal either way.
