VENT Found out a good friend just got diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.

I am in disbelief and shock over this. Obviously very upset. She got diagnosed with a rare neuroendocrine cancer that has spread to her liver. The nicest, most non judgemental person you could ever meet. This is just another nail to add to my depression coffin. I am at the age (57) where people you love start kicking off one by one. Life is just fucking cruel but we all know that in this forum. I haven't left my house in 9 months except for doctors appointments but I am dragging my sorry depressed ass to her house tomorrow to visit her. I haven't physically seen her in a year due to my mental illness, but she told me she is at peace and God is helping her through this. I envy her courage and faith. I have neither. Fuck depression, fuck cancer, fuck life. Thanks for letting me vent.

Darn, I am so very sorry for your friend.

I had gall bladder cancer and if there is one wish that I have is that damn cancer would be gone not only from this world, but everywhere for good.

I will have her in my heart, prayers and every waking moment.

I HATE DAMN CANCER so very much.

Sorry for your friend The best people die or suffer a lot, and the bad people stay and enjoy. I saw it several times in my life.

If she's at peace and believes in God, it's a good thing. But she doesn't deserve all this pain.

You're saying you have no courage, but you're very brave and strong. After decades of severe depression, you're still here.
