I wish I could have sat with him in his final moments. One of my absolute idols.
My favourite painting being ' The Scream ' IMG 3546

Vincent's brother Theo said something sort of interesting, it reminds me of a friend who is completely changing before my eyes. It's like a jagged knife in my heart. That's just the icing on the cake though

Here,

It seems as if he were two persons: one,

marvellously gifted, tender and refined.The

other egotistical and hard hearted. They

present themselves in turns, so that one

hears him talk first in one way, then in the

other. And always with arguments on both

sides…It is a pity that he is his own enemy,

for he makes life hard not only for others
but also for himself.

There is a theory that he didn't kill himself... There are quite a few odd details about the circumstances. I've also long felt an affinity with him though.

I feel exactly like him. The painting here is by Edvard Munch though. The starry night and sunflowers are some of Van Gogh's most famous works..

I also love Munch's "The Scream" though the impact was lessened when I realised that you can see spaniel ears next to the person's face...

I like Van Gogh as well. I find his life story very relatable. He's the quintessential example of a "tortured artist."

EDIT : it was late last night and I was doom scrolling again , ( strep throat has me very nauseous ) the artist who made this painting is apparently Edward munch.
My heart lies with them both… 🙀

Art history fact: Evard Munch's dark art was influenced by childhood trauma: he had to watch his mother and little sister die of tuberculosis.
