I was 4 years old and my mom made spaghetti and I really didn't like it so I complained about it. She said that if I don't like what was on the table I can go make my own dinner. Now I was always headstrong so I got up and dragged my chair to the stove, grabbed an electric skillet and got it hooked up and turned on. I had watched my mom make french toast so I got 2 eggs, the milk, sugar and vanilla. Made up the batter and the skillet was ready so I dipped the bread in the batter and placed on the skillet. When it was cooked I got the syrup out, turned off the skillet and moved my chair back to the table. By then they were through eating so I got to eat in peace. My mom told the story often, she had no idea I could do that.

Good memory. I've often wondered if malnutrition plays a part in mental illness. It's not the only thing obviously. At least in the US the youth eat horribly, and parents are not much better if at all.
