it was on once at the dentist didn't see much; heard it's good, some people were snarky about how much the guy liked the octopus.

Great show. Amazing cinematography.

Octopus are phenomenal creatures. How can they not be, they have 9 brains, yes 9! One for each leg and one for the head. These creatures have individual control of every sucker. It is a very educational.

Anybody snarky about how much he liked the octopus has never spent any time with one. Our local octopus lives for 3 to 5 years. One of my favorites lived for at least 5 years, granted it is a different breed but I was able to see her at least 4 times a month and often more. At first I wore a signal marker so she could learn who I was. After a couple months she knew me by sight so. I took the signal off. It only took 2 dives for her to learn my dive gear. From then on she would search for me whenever divers were there. I never went without a bag of treats, she was particularly fond of crabs but would make do with shrimp.

how cool. that would be such a cool thing, to hang out with water animals.
one of the things i am/will be sadder about, not being in more/other biospheres and chilling with gentle wildlife
