  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I have somewhere I can go, but people know I go there and if they tell the police then the police will find me. My method is a long method with OD.

Depends not on the police, but on family or friends when they report you missing.
If they report you missing, and they convince police you are a threat to yourself (suicide possible), police will start looking immediately - probably within 1-2 hours of the report.

What's your method and where you want to go? Can't you find a similar spot, or go for example to some secluded area like a field or forest?

it'll happen quick, I'll make sure to inform them as soon as you post your farewell thread 😏

Kidding aside, you're going to have to wait till the people that know go on a vacation or somewhere where they won't know you're missing anytime soon.

It's that or you'll have to find a new place, that way the police can't find you in time.

Depends on your age and situation.
If you are not legally an adult (so under 18) and they are told you are likely to harm yourself they will start looking for you very quickly.
In short the younger you are and the more serious harm you can/are likely to do to yourself then the more seriously they will take the situation ,the quicker they will start searching and the more intense the search will be.
If you are legally an adult (aged 18 +) then you have a right to 'disappear' (people do just vanish and go make a life for themselves somewhere new without telling anyone they know. It happens.) and go wherever/ do what you like/not contact anyone you don't want to. Now , if someone cares about you and goes to the police then the police will listen and make out a standard 'Missing Person Report' but not do much else at all.
But if they are told you are likely to hurt or kill yourself then , even as an adult ,that is a bit different and then they will try to find you.
The trick then , if you want to go through with it , is to make sure they can't.
