Hello, I hope this is the correct place to ask this, but is anyone having or has had extreme difficulty finding a diagnosis that truly explains what they regularly go through?
I have gone to multiple therapists through the years and have done various differents tests and exams, and am currently diagnosed with mild autism (what would back in the day have been called Aspergers) and an above-average IQ. These two things together explained some of my life problems and eases, but there is just so much more that's weird with me and with how my brain works and that I feel these things alone cannot explain, something even the many psychologists I've seen tend to agree with. So far, none have successfully pin-pointed what it is (BPD and Paranoia have both been suggested and discarded many times) and I can't quite explain what it is that is wrong with me, and therefore I don't know how to truly deal with it, making me feel completely lost and hopeless.
The situation I feel myself in reminds me of Zoraya ter Beek, a girl who chose euthanasia due to "unmanageable mental health", with her doctors after years of therapy saying there was simply nothing else that could be done. Pretty much throwing their hands up and saying "look, we've got nothing."
Have any of you ever felt similarly; that is to say, that there was something deeply troublesome about how your brain functions that doctors were simply unnable to fully figure out and help with?
