i have been writing here a couple of times. i have been debating if i should do the train method. i think thats the only solution for me. im close to a train station but im so unsure how to go about it. laying down in tracks so only my head get severed or jump in front of the train? i have no idea. whats is the best way to go about it if you had to choose this method. im not scared to die or the pain AT ALL. im looking forward to it but im scared i will live. i want to make sure im dead when i do this. im going to do this very late at night and train station close to my home i barely see anyone being there anyways. if i see someone ill go back home because i dont want to burden anyone with my death even though its very unlikely they will see my death. i know the poor conduktor but at this point i have NO CHOICE. theres no other viable methods for me or i wouldnt have gone this route so spare me with your concern.

The first thing I would do is make sure the tracks are not electrically charged. If they are and you touch them they could potentially move your body into a position where the train would not kill you, but would severely injure you instead. If they are not electrified rails id focus on making sure you hit the head/neck. Wishing you the best.

sometimes in rural areas they put down railway barriers to separate cars from rails. When those barriers are down train driver will not slow down and this is chance for us just to put our head on rails when train is on full speed and train driver has no time to slow down

I believe you have the right to take your own life.
But in no way do I think its acceptable to expose other innocent people (train staff & riders) to the aftermath of jumping in front of a train!
Please rethink! Many people are on this site because of trauma that they can't recover from.
Please don't add to the problem & traumatize other unsuspecting people. That's just wrong.
I'm not judging you. I'm just trying to help you see what you may have overlooked. I know of at least one train driver who came to this site because he couldnt get over what he had to see. 🤗🌹💔

If they don't want people jumping in front of trains, they shouldn't be banning nembutal, SN etc.

The pilot plows or snowplows might not allow your head to be crushed or severed

I understand you well, because the train is and has always been tempting for me. Still, I'm glad I failed with it (SI), because it causes a lot of suffering. In some countries, their relatives also have to pay compensation. I have seen many reports of train stuff being traumatized by this. I don't want to pass on my own suffering to someone else. It's very difficult because I understand both sides. If you still consider it, then not at a train station but on an open route, the train moves faster and there are no other people there. I'm sorry you're suffering.

Who is "they"? It's certainly not the train operators. Those are regular working class folks spending long hours on the railroad for a middle-of-the-road salary. They have zero influence over state and federal legislation, they just spend their working days helping people get from point A to B. We should be considerate of them just like any other person.

If we want suicide to be more accessible by better means legally, that needs to be addressed to lawmakers and politicians. It's a long and difficult process, but there is no way around it, it's just how governments work.

Technically speaking Nembutal isn't banned, at least in the US. It's a schedule II controlled substance like fentanyl and amphetamines which are widely available. It requires a prescription, it's just not commonly prescribed because it has a poor safety profile and better alternatives are available. It's not realistic to expect Nembutal to be reclassified as an OTC drug when it's addictive and obviously has high risk for OD deaths.

I'm not aware of any government that bans SN yet. It's regulated in New York to prohibit sales to buyers under 21, and California has a similar bill in flight to ban sales to minors under 18. So it's regulated, but far from banned.

I wouldn't say that suicide by train is unethical in all cases without exception, but I think it should be reserved as an absolute last resort. I used to work in the San Francisco Bay Area where people regularly jumped in front of the Caltrans commuter trains. It's so common it's routine, and the whole community gets shaken by it.
