I'm from poland. In 2021, 1,496 children and adolescents under the age of 18 attempted suicide, and 127 of those attempts ended in death.

Compared to 2020, this is an increase by 77% of suicidal behaviors and 19% of suicidal deaths, respectively.

at the same time, there is no money for psychiatric hospitals. in those that are, the children lie on mattresses in the corridors. You have to wait six months to see a psychiatrist. what are we talking about there is no suicide prevention in Poland.

There is no suicide prevention in india either. We had legal action and suicide was punishable as far as I know if I am not wrong the legal act still exist it's IPC section 309 now you tell me how much human life matters? If there's one thing then it is this that I don't want to be punished for this if the times comes closer because I still think I am a human not an animal if I am then it would be better to be decapitated although I don't want because I never asked but why do they treat us like cattle?

True very informative the last line is just causing their servers to crash lol. Tbh I always thought why they did it that's really to but you still missed one thing sadly it's to get paid well and also abuse the patients while dealing lol which is very fun I doubt they don't enjoy it. Society will the first ones that make believe one is not worth it, everything they destroy with their stereotypes and their own greedy and selfish behavior. Society will be the first to judge and make life impossible. If they really cared about prevention, the world would be a different place right now. This day is just as fake as any other.

I think people like to assign different occasions to different days to pretend they care but it's all just fake in my opinion. Pure nonsense!

On that note I just wonder if these people also wanna CBT deeply but there work isn't letting them? Like maybe they would be looked down on if they get caught and how would it be to get treated by your own colleagues? Have no idea honestly.

It's irritating in the sense that I see and personally know people who'll post hotline numbers and a generic "you can always message me!" post, but aren't supportive at all.

I think people should be more aware of how others are struggling mentally, but this feels like a way for some to just pay themselves on the back without really doing anything. The mental health system all over the world is just absolutely garbage. If people really cared about this stuff, we'd have better resources.

If there were any real plans to help people, through increased access to meaningful support, legislation to protect individuals in crisis from losing their job (and so on), it might mean more.

If they want to prevent suicide, they must fight against the system that makes people vulnerable to living without a home, without work and without money. A system that ignores the chronically ill and disabled and that chronicizes mental illnesses with treatments that don't cure and harm in the long run. Drop the banner and stop blaming suicides for the poor psychological care given in the countries. What a big farce.
