• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Ive been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder a few years ago, but I never felt my behavior get better if anything maybe worsen.

I have many large events coming up where I need to be confident and outward but I feel that I may crumble under pressure as its common for me. I have social anxiety but honestly have zero clue on how to get around it.

Also I have intense separation anxiety and its honestly embarrassing for me but does anyone know how to go at that??

Any response is appreciated and if anyone has storys Id love to hear

I've started to try and let myself be anxious. If I feel my chest tighten, heart rate pick up, etc etc I just allow it to stay, mainly because I've realized I can still do the things I need to do, I'll just be inwardly in pain while doing them. I'm not sure this'll work for you, but it helps me to at least get my tasks done. As for being outward and social, I mainly just try to take interest in people and that helps distract me from the fact im in a social setting, and lets the conversation flow naturally. If you make it all about them they won't notice the little things lol, most people are self centred unlike people with anxiety (usually). So I guess it's mainly the "let's get this over with" mentality.

Good luck to you! I have some interviews and exams in the next few days, can't wait till it's another responsibility crossed off the list. Cheers

1st thought is to try and stay away from Benzos and the like if possible. Of all most any chemical Benzos can be the worst to be weaned from, in fact it can be fatal to withdrawal too fast, the likelihood is not great, but it is still there.

For me, and I am VERY high strung be nature which brings on all types of anxiety and the like, I recognize the triggers if possible and stay away or modify them if I can. I find a sunny place at home sit in the quit, breath in a slow and deliberate way and work at understanding how and why and knowing that it will pass and that I am a strong person.

I never ever use drugs, alcohol, caffeine, anything as any type of outside influence like chemicals will do nothing but add to the issues not ever help.

At the age of 70, I can say this aspect, that life experience has helped me to unwind when I need to and I can look back and tell myself that I WILL be all right and that the sun will be up the next day, I will have learned something from when I get all wound up and that as part of the human experience, we are all together in this, that others also have anxiety issues and the like and we can overcome this together and be stronger as a group.
