Because of underresources, cutbacks and pandemic delays in UK. Many thousands of cancer patients who potentially could have been treated earlier now face death by terminal cancer. Ive no doubt many of these deaths will be painful, without dignity and dreadful. They also have little say in ending their lives through dignified assistance.
When the authorities speak of the sanctity of life, the authorities which includes the representatives of ' God ' should really take a step out of their utopian ivory towers and take a look around. Outside of their ethically built-in walls, they will see the reality we all face. And that sanctity of life is false because if it were true, every focus would be drawn to the suffering. This TRUTH is conveniently shoved under the carpet.
Ive never met a dying person who died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. Has anyone ????. These things are said to make the living feel more comfortable with the falsehood, and that our approach to death is outdated and totally flawed.
Yes, there is no sanctity of life. Its so idealistic, so false.
