Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Article linked here, for reference.

I found their point on "directing people towards intervention" laughable. What "intervention" exists for someone who is chronically homeless? Or too disabled to work but not disabled enough to be on benefits? Or just plain depressed even after trying all the available treatments.

Like seriously, can we stop pretending help exists for everyone when it so obviously doesn't? Why do we suddenly live in a great and perfect world the moment suicide comes up?

I just hate the mainstream discussions on this. Nobody really cares. I promise you, they're not out there helping anyone. They're not volunteering or building hospitals or making sure lonely people are included in their social groups. They rather decry people who are already without options.

Also, I hate suicide hotlines. Same experience as talking to a chatbot.

But what do you think?
