Hi all (again). I've finally decided on how I'll be going out (jumping off a local bridge into a river near the ocean). The fall is only about 30 feet, give or take, but the river below has somewhat rough water and exits out into the ocean. I hope to drown, but I'm seeing some websites state that if you survive drowning you'll end up a vegetable. How likely is that? If it's likely I'll have to come up with another way to end up drowning. Thanks!

I have no idea if your fall has any chance of doing damage without knowing the depth and bottom composition. My guess is that will kick your si into overdrive at the least.
I also don't know the temperature of the river or ocean but if they are below 75*f you will have another thing to start panic. Then there is the rough water, another thing to create panic.
A drowning can cause irreparable damage if you go without oxygen long enough. But not all drowning victims will be vegetables.

All of these conditions will increase your si, very little chance you will find this process pleasant

Idk. But over 40 people who jumped from the Golden Gate Bridge (over 200 feet) survived. Too much risk for me, I would not.
