This site keeps me alive until I'm not alive anymore

That's exactly how I feel. Verbally it doesn't make sense but if you KNOW, you know how much sense it does make.

Wow, I guess I didn't look hard enough lol. It's not gotten any attention from social media so it will fizzle out at least. While looking for more information on Callie Lewis, I found the following:

Time to act against sites that told my Callie to take her life
THE mother of a young woman who took her life after studying advice on a pro-suicide website has called for more action to protect vulnerable youngsters. It comes as a senior coroner demanded a government crackdown after it emerged that the site had taught Callie Lewis, 24, how to fool mental...www.express.co.uk
I totally agree @Nem ...I always say this site has helped me, I was sure I was done with life until I found this forum....While it is very unfortunate that people take their lives, this site is pro-choice, it's not pro-suicide and has never been. A person becomes suicidal before coming onto this site and this site has saved many people's lives guaranteed. This site taken down would be a tragedy of huge proportions
Peace/hugs❤
It's already blocked on my phone providers 4g, I can only access from my home wifi.It looks like they're trying to get SS blocked in the UK, we were blocked in Australia last year. There are ways to get around the block.
Where do you live if you don't mind me asking? It's already blocked on my phone providers 4g, I can only access from my home wifi.

@Meretlein ... would it be beneficial to UK people to get one of the change your ip address things? It looks like they're trying to get SS blocked in the UK, we were blocked in Australia last year. There are ways to get around the block.
I did the same.I just made the SN guide from Stan into a Word and PDF document just in case anything happens here.
Not that either one of you will need it.I did the same.
This is from the UK. I found it totally by accident and I could not find much about this young woman, only one local paper briefly mentioning her being missing.
This government definitely has a boner for despair! No exit allowed!you can see how far the establishment is up each other's arses by the way the only matter of concern is this forum - not the critical lack of funding, staff and beds in mental health that mean that vulnerable people are not treated appropriately.
The only thing the govt can do is to put the address on a blacklist that isp's are expected have in place - from what I can remember, the block can be got around.
Suicide is the biggest decition anyone can make and I think it shouldn't be done impulsively.I've seen users time and time again discourage impulsively and try to talk desperate people out of an attempt. I think you can be pro choice and still want people to live. On here you can do everything possible to sustain a life but because it's anonymous the choice is always there. You can't forcibly stop anyone.
I still see it as important not to normalise suicide or to portray it as something other than it is. I feel uncomfortable sometimes with seeing posts that may imply a certain peacefulness to such a serious action.
I feel sometimes that although we are stripped of many the delusions that allow people to live, it's all too easy for some to continue to buy into magical thinking without fully being aware of the potential consequences.
Maybe I'm talking nonsense and I certainly don't attempt to suggest everyone thinks a certain way. I guess I'm just expressing my reservations.
I think it's time to retighten security. Ash.net got taken down. Multiple contriversial websites get taken down when cloud-flare or their server host cuts them loose.Nice find, we're probably under constant scrutiny. I can only imagine how often we're referenced in reports like this. This place is just an outlet to a set of ideologies that will never change.
Fucking prolifers... we shall never surrender!

I will now try to take the perspective of these people. Why they don't put the same effort to prevent somebody killing another one that doesn't want to die instead to stop those who want to die by hurting only themselves?!
I'm just curious if the website were to ever get shut down would there be a notice/warning ahead of time or do they just pull the plug? Will the site ever close? Should I worry?
Our website does not aid nor encourage suicide, and all information provided is for educational purposes only. We only offer a place to discuss the topic of suicide; in other words, we provide a free speech platform for those that can't speak about suicide anywhere else. We have taken precautions to avoid issues that could arise, but regardless, there might be days where the forum is in the public eye. At those times, please don't panic. Suicide is a taboo topic, and thus, we must not succumb to any paranoia or fear. Help us keep the peace during these times by calming other users and not creating panic by making threads about it. Downtime may happen at times due to maintenance, upgrades, or feature changes, if there's anything that you should know, we'll make a thread about it and pin it.
