Thinking about changing methods.

Sitting on SN, but thinking that maybe I could go donate plasma and get enough money for a nitrogen setup. It does seem way too complex for someone like me to setup BUT it seems like a very very peaceful option and since I'm not acting on impulse I'm deciding to look into it. Why don't more people chose nitrogen?

It is important that you choose the method you feel the most comfortable with. This might play a huge role in overcoming SI, so if you feel like there is a better option, definitely go for it.

I've been recently leaning towards jumping instead of SN. Thankfully, I have currently good access to both.

Hey Cryptonite. Good to hear from you. Very valid point. It's just I think the main reason I was going with that same is because of the availability and how cheap it was but since I'm not doing anything on impulse anymore I might as well take the time to figure out a way to leave peacefully. Why jumping? I don't think I could personally. Seens scary. Afraid of heights. I guess jumping I would be facing two of my biggest fears heights and dying.

my preferred method would be a nice cool bottle of N. a slight fast, a shot of bitter liquid, and then sweet nothing. no fancy setups, no body envelope violation, no pain.

i currently have SN and my AE is on the way. it is far from my preferred method but it is far from my least preferred. jumping, gunshot, hanging, cutting, none of these have a modicum of appeal to me.

perhaps i would consider nitrogen, or CO, or argon. it seems like another quick and painless exit from this hell. the setup required is a deterrent at the current moment. i need to read more about what i would need to buy, and about how to do it so it would be painless and so i would not fail.

Indeed understandable. We already have enough stress and we don't need to add any more to it trying to hook up some fancy tubes I get it. I'm actually downloading the PPH right now and I'm going to take the time to just read through the inert gas section. I do know a cylinder of nitrogen I'm seeing is somewhere around $200. That's not including the other stuff but you can make an exit bag.

Two reasons why people opt for SN over Nitrogen:

1) It's cheaper
2) Easier to pull off compared to any variation of the Inert Gas method

But for anyone who has both the resources and patience to go for the Inert Gas Method I definitely recommend it. When using Nitrogen or pure Helium (I can't really recommend Argon, as I've heard of more failures using Argon due to it being a heavier gas), it's up there with Nembutal for one of the most pleasant CTBs, it might be even more pleasant than Nembutal. Also from what I've read, CTBing with Nitrogen/Helium is much quicker than Nembutal if timing's a thing for you.

The helium is looking cheaper v

That's impossible, Helium supply is dwindling since it cannot be manufactured, Nitrogen has infinite supply.
Are you sure it's pure Helium? Maybe you are looking at a balloon tank (Helium mixed with Air).

one reason im choosing sn over ig is really dumb, but i think having my body found with a scba mask on / bag over head would be slightly more traumatising than just finding my corpse...

nope and i dont really want to! i know it makes your skin go blue/deoxygenated, but ig also fucks w your skin so not too much difference in that regard

Setting up Nitrogen method is actually quite easy, especially if you use an EEBD hood instead of an exit bag--PM me if you wish
