What if the door is locked? Can you use an axe? But then what if the door's closed for a reason? I mean who knows, maybe there's a serial killer behind the door. Or maybe a lion! Could be a door holding back a flood. If it was a glass door you could see, but then you could use a sledge hammer. It's so hard to tell with a door! Doors are amazing things though. And hinges! You can easily just take the hinges off too! Just unhinge the door. But really is an unhinged door really a good thing? Unhinged things aren't normally good. But then aren't we all really a little unhinged? Maybe that's the problem. We're all a bit unhinged. That could be why doors are shut. We're afraid that if we open them they'll be like us. And if they're shut at least they won't be unhinged.

Honestly don't know what my point is. Maybe it's just that I drank a half pot of coffee. That could be my point.

About to talk to my psychiatrist now about my cutting. Group was good. We had to talk about things to distract ourselves from self-harm so I put get high and everyone laughed

So my psychiatrist wasn't happy to see my cuts and he said he has to contact my mom. I'm screwed. She'll be so upset :(

I'm sorry. I have scars on my left arm... some are.... down my arm... over veins (not across). faint though. glad they're faint enough that I can see them but others don't. Or at least they never say anything if they do notice them in blood draws--think that's the real thing honestly.

I'm kind of surprised they have to contact your mom though... but, maybe it will be ok, we're still here for you and support you no matter what!

Yeah, it's shocking to me... like I thought it'd be confidential for the most part. It's not like it's an emergency or something. Emergency contact to me is "omg the person died/had to be rushed to ER!" not "yeah they have cuts on arm" or anything else other than taken to ER/died.

So sorry! There's a reason why they need confidentiality! Patients NEED to feel like they can be honest so they feel safe. Otherwise there's no point in therapy or stuff!
