• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Is one which legislates in a preventative manner for C-PTSD/complex trauma.

Today we live, in the West, in societies which elect mainly sociopaths, psychopaths, narcissists, dark triads and unhealthy people. These people seek power. The functioning method of trauma for pro-social people is disconnection, thus, they are disinterested in seeking leadership positions that enact true, authentic change for the betterment of everyone. One of the causes of trauma is specifically perpetuating a system which gives rise to trauma (these people aforementioned wouldn't have reached such positions, otherwise).

The characteristic of the current system is one in which profits take precedence over people. Got retraumatized due to an incompetent therapist and ended up homeless living in unsafe accommodation? Though luck as politicians see their worth in how much real estate they can own (exploiting that immigration economy). You'll have to wait until you get old enough, if you survive that long, when the majority of pro-social people (who keep the elected elite in check, somewhat) can't bear to have on their consciousness the death of elderly due to homelessness (speaks to the culture and attachment instilled and that people have with regards to their own family).

A society, and thus, a political system which understands complex trauma and legislates to prevent it, would, by nature, be a mixture of socialism and capitalism. It encompasses legislation that:
• would make it illegal for someone disabled/under an unsafe roof to be unhoused, no matter how that disability manifests; consequently, it would provide homes (no strings attached) to those in need in such a way that it provides fulfillment and content to the individual/family
• would make it illegal to enact policies that are detrimental to people without creating opportunities for the people (if you wipe out livelihoods through automation, you're legally forced to create positive opportunities for the affected)
• would create resilient communities which screens fur unsafe homes and offer safe housing to those in need until (if) they can regroup (earlier point)
• would make resources available in a multi-faceted multi-modal way for people, and tailor it to every case (through AI or otherwise); e.g. housing, with trauma therapy (with a [mixture of] modality that works for those in need), basic income, healthcare, training for upskilling
• would provide assurance of basic needs coverage and leadership pathways for those seeking it
• would just get it: mental illness is not something that you can "will it out"
• human connection would be foundational, and people will put intention in connecting and be there for each other: for safe, authentic, meaningful and fulfilling connection (besides the rest of the pillars provided: financial, mental, spiritual)
• would meet the core 12 needs every single human being has
• would prevent the 60+ characteristics of complex trauma from happening in society
