The idea of a heart attack makes me smile

So I could at least get a break from work. Maybe even quit without looking like a failure.

It would be great!! I too wish this. And visualizing myself in different type of death makes me feel peaceful, only peaceful thought I know.

I've got a slight problem with my heart and havent been to the doctors as I dont want it treated. So I'm hoping a heart attack takes me out.

A heart attack is not funny. Despite what you may think, you rarely die from your first heart attack. It has around a 20% mortality risk I think. Instead you will have severe chest pain, gasping for breath and radiating pain to your left arm. Then someone will rush you to the hospital and it is the start of a long period of heart issues, pains and treatments. You will experience multiple painful heart attacks before you then die. What you want is sudden cardiac arrest, not heart attacks.

I know it isn't logical. When you have one type of pain it sounds nice - no matter how foolish - to trade it for another type of pain. The hospital stay and treatment and issues sounds like a nice break from my current mental pain with work anxiety. I know it's stupid and unhealthy and if it actually happened I'd regret it.
