Shit like this, as well as the comments on that reddit thread, show how fundamentally different people like us are compared to the average person. Our values are so radically opposed to one another, it's as if we were living in two separate universes. But because they are in the majority they can impose their awful values on others without repercussions.before finding this place I joined a random one on Reddit, the poster was a man from Thailand, who had lost his job, was going to lose his home, and gave a large list of disabilities he suffered from, mental and physical. All he wanted was warm wishes, which I gave and was promptly permabanned for as well as being told that I was reported to "authorities" for encouraging suicide.
Totally agree with you. Religion did not exist before man. It was created to control and possibly give live meaning, maybe guidance. Nihilism claims there is no meaning to life, and you create your own. Religion claims there is a reason to life, but it was created by someone else. At least nihilists create a meaning that has relevance to them personally, and don't try to conform to some meaning a person came up with many years ago, and can change at any other's whim.Exactly. So how are religious people any less biased than nihilists? I think on paper, nihilists are correct; that there is no inherent meaning and we have to create our own version.
Leaning on 'religion' is... no more meaningful or real to me than leaning on aforementioned anime. Both are fiction.
The "just have kids" argument really makes my blood boil. Nobody understands the gravitas of the decision to bring another human into this world, and there are people who straight up shouldn't consider it at all.The stupidest piece of advice I ever got on that sub was to have kids because they make everything better and give your life meaning (and they were dead serious as well), that kind of attitude is why people still suffer from depression to this day...
Idk, it's pretty fulfilling to go on kayak or Priceline Wednesday afternoon, and book a flight to somewhere with beaches and palm trees for Friday to Monday, and not worry about what it costs, then meet one or two new "friends" and party all weekend :)The "just have kids" argument really makes my blood boil. Nobody understands the gravitas of the decision to bring another human into this world, and there are people who straight up shouldn't consider it at all.
And there's so, so many things that can go wrong. Divorce. Disabilities. Crippling depression. The list goes on and on.
I was listening to a podcast the other day where the host asked his guest if he thought having kids was "too expensive", and the dude said, "Anyone who is hesitating to have a kid because it's too expensive, don't be. Have them anyway, because all of the struggles that come with it are worth it to see a mini-version of you. It is the most fulfilling feeling you will ever get as a human being."
So you get to feel fulfilled, and your kid…probably is? Maybe? Eh, who cares, just have them anyway. They'll probably be fine.
It begins with a simple statement by OP:

Ok, sounds good. He's made his decision.
But oh boy, here comes the "just wait a minute!!" knights to save the day.
View attachment 75900
Just wait a minute or two, OP. Or, hell—why not make it a year or two?
View attachment 75901
And don't forget to come back here a year later for me to tell you the exact same thing!! :)
OP also has a number of compelling arguments in the comments section to convince him not to CTB. Here are a few examples:

and

Hmm, I hadn't considered "just not doing it" before. I'm certain that will help OP address the problems that he's facing in his life.
But it turns out, the commenters have provided some more concrete reasons not to end things too. Do you think OP can justify taking his life if he hasn't seen the conclusion to the Marvel Cinematic Universe?? I don't think so.
View attachment 75904
That's right, Disney has plenty of surprises waiting for OP! It would be pretty selfish if he didn't stick around. Disney's being very generous by providing him with such high quality entertainment.
And has OP forgotten the most important thing about life?

With great reasons like these, I honestly don't know how anyone can justify taking their life. OP is selfish and weird for not realizing what a precious gift he has. Just think of all the amazing anime shows he will miss out on…![]()

Man saves 321 people on China's most frequented suicide spot
Chen Si, 48, patrols the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge every weekend. At 197 feet above waters, the bridge is a notorious suicide spot in China. Mr Chen has saved 321 people in 13 years.www.dailymail.co.uk

Everybody's gotta be a fucking hero...
:: wot wld u do if a whole gang of people literally held u back?!
makes me somewhat homicidal!!!
I called these people once when 30 minutes before an attempt, they didn't even pickup.Nobody posted the number to the suicide prevention hotline!? Shame, that one works every time.
I should have asked them If I tied noose correctly. We should have another institution like planned parenthood, maybe planned death. With organizing your funeral (there is a fun in funeral. There is no fun in birthday) and etc.Don't you love it when the rare article about suicide is published, a suicide hotline number is stamped across the very top of the article in font 3000? Invariably with the helpful prompt that, if we're having a hard time, we should call. :)
Yeah... about that... I want to start to whine how meaningless world is and how we are all basically npc but conscious. It makes me want to die. It's amazing how simple the NPC normies mind is. Their bread and circuses of Disney is enough to keep them occupied. They're unable to fathom why anyone else who's in total disarray with pain emotionally would want to go. Stuff like this makes me angry.
I said and I will say again: Good moments are few in number, they are superficial as intensity and won't last long. Bad moments instead are plenty, they are very intense and last a lot.
If something happens that peaks your pain, the prospect of a new season isn't even going to register to you. We're one crisis away from the end.
Also, yeah, delay but.. what then? Just delay delay delay? Play for time?
I understand these people not getting it but good God, they sure act like they know it all and then come out with asinine answers like this, as if placating a child.
Nobody posted the number to the suicide prevention hotline!? Shame, that one works every time.

@Observer welcome backWe are like unaware souls bound to our avatars, placed in bionic pods and injected "happiness" liquid when life gets bad.
- I am near volcano and in a few moments I will be melt...
- Aren't you going to wait for a new season airing on TV in a few moments?
- Great idea!
They just sound so cliche that they have to come up with new stuff to catch attention. However those did a cringy job at it.
Works in different ways sometimes...

in plan: "You have tried everything and yet you are still miserable?... don't worry, have a couple of kids so they can be miserable too."Ugh yes, the good ole r/SuicideWatch days before I thankfully found this forum. I remember I got banned from that subreddit for suggesting that suicidal people should be allowed to be euthanised if they're over the age of 18 lmao. The stupidest piece of advice I ever got on that sub was to have kids because they make everything better and give your life meaning (and they were dead serious as well), that kind of attitude is why people still suffer from depression to this day...
I'd have a lot more patience and respect for pro-lifers if they actually listened and didn't just barge in as if telling a child to stop having a tantrum. Is this serious? I do not look at reddit very often however.
In general, I just cannot stand pro lifers. We have the right to exit this world at a time of our choosing and nobody else has any say in it. We did not ask to be alive in the first place. It is our life, our decision. All we have the right to do is respect others personal decisions about their lives.

hahaha copulate time
LolI'm sure the Chinese guy is doing what he thinks is right because he isn't the one posting it online for upvotes but yeah
So u reminded me of sumthin - I actually postponed ctb to see the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.Typical reddit.
I did literally postpone my suicide attempts because of video games. First it was Diablo 3, which turned out to be pure shit. Then it was Thief 4, which turned out to be pure shit. Dark Souls 3 was okay, but way too linear, bosses were too hard, magic was ruined, places and npcs were recycled from DS1, and there's no replayability, but I'm still glad I bought it and played through it and its dlcs. I won't wait for Diablo 4 or Skyrim 2 (jk, of course I mean The Elder Scrolls 6) or Elden ring.
