Well I can only imagine that's a trolling comment by Joanna Hopkinson.

1. She doesn't know 'everyone on the site'
2. She doesn't know what everyone on the site has been through.
3. Nobody has informed me thus far on the hierarchy of what is more or less justified to suffer over.
4. Who is the authority who decides if our suffering is justified or not?

Whilst we look for the all important opinionated person who decides if I'm allowed to have feelings, can I just make an iddi biddi suggestion? Can it be someone who can spell? I mean if you're important enough to decide who's feelings are valid then you've gotta be able to spell surely?!

Oh and by the way tithead - what you're doing is invalidating peoples feelings and stopping freedom of action. Some people won't seek help because they think 'other people have it worse' etc. Not that the help helps but that's a whole different story.

But hey - it's the bigoted, egotistical world we live in now. 'My opinion is so important, everyone should hear it and if you don't agree you're wrong'. Just another unsympathetic voice in the crowd Joanna - the very reason some people find solace here.

They wouldn't - directly. But suggesting that colouring in/breathing/mindfulness etc would be sufficient to help, what is fundamentally, a brain injury (in some cases) is saying just that.

You're right. I think I'm done looking now and since Catherine pours over every single word we write on here I'll just make clear what I've found out about her and her (few) followers by looking at her pathetic Facebook page.
1 - they don't care about suicidal people and actually call them names and try to provoke/ upset them.
2 - they are all far too stupid/ uneducated to make compelling arguments.. so the only way to fill their page is post screenshots from ss out of context.
3 - to them, all members of ss are evil EXCEPT their own family members who were coerced into ctb by the rest of us.... (???????!!!)
4 - they are literally NO threat to ss. And since I'm going to stop looking at your page now Catherine I guess your readership will be cut by about 50% so sorry about that..

I don't have kids..... so I don't know what it's like... but sometimes I wonder about these people's children (who sadly felt that CTB was their only way out) and what their childhood/home-life was like...

It's easy to blame SS for providing a safe space to discuss suicide, but what made their children seek out a site like this in the first place? what was the "trigger" or "cause" that made their "young child" search the internet for ways to CTB?

I don't get why they're not talking about that... like, surely creating a safe space at home (so your children feel they can talk to you about anything without judgement) is worth advocating about too? but like I said.... I don't have kids so what would I know

I was hoping to find you on here! I'm a big fan of yours sticking up for ss the way you do. Is the support ss page on Facebook? They delete so much stuff I post and even blocked me being able to post on their page. They won't allow the other side of the story. If they were confident in their beliefs they wouldn't need to silence me.
