They do accept applications from depressed or mentally ill people. But processing is a bit different.

Yes, I understand they will accept ALL applications, but it means the applicant will have to pay first, right? And as you said, it's the "processing [that] is different".

So there seems to be higher chances the applicants will be rejected IF they :
- ONLY have mental issues
- no other chronic health issue
- extra: of young age (I don't know what is considered young by Pegasos. 45? 55?)

IMHO, if they said "Pay USD $500 for us to REVIEW your application", that may be acceptable. That's a similar price for N anyways.

But to lose 1,500 euros just for the "processing" with high chances of getting rejected ... that's a lot of money and will derail someone CTB plan.

Not to mention that I posted above that someone PAID 5,000 euros and afterwards, Pegasos ignored that person. That's 5,000 euros GONE.

Originally, I was excited to see solutions like Pegasos, but I feel I will lose 1,500 euros for nothing because even though I am old, I have no chronic health issues and just depressed. Or... Pegasos may just take the FULL 5,000 euros and then ignored me like what they did to the other person above.

Pegasos got back to me but is requesting medical records. I did not keep all my hospitalization records for my schizoaffective disorder unfortunately... I guess I can call these places but good luck getting someone on the phone or actually having the records show up for me.

I wouldnt give them you psych records, itll add more money to the bill and more time on the decision.
I havent seen a doctor in over a year and that was when I was in the hospital for medical issues. I've never been in psych hospital and saw online provider for my anxiety and depression, I dont plan on even divulging that info.
I would say my reason is due to my chronic med issues and pain
I'm not sure what medical records they require or how far back you are supposed to go

Actually I am too tired for this discussion. There are too many untruths spread about Pagasos and other associations. And many people just don't know what they are talking about because they don't inform themselves.

I know which person we are talking about here. As far as I´m informed this person did not send in all the papers Pagasos needs to process the application. So the deposit of CHF5.000,- is NOT gone. This person has received a reply by e-mail. So this person and also other users of this forum should stop spreading rumors and untruths.

AGAIN: If the application is rejected, CHF3.500,- will be refunded.

CHF1.500,- costs processing by lawyers and doctors. Processing, not "review" ! This amount also includes the cost of rent, employees and all the other expenses. Nobody works for free. Or do you ? And we are talking about one of the most expensive countries in the world.

If someone still has doubts about the work of Pegasos, he should inform himself exactly, instead of spreading rumors and filling this forum with doubts, assumptions and untruths !

Switzerland is one of the most expensive countries of the world. VAD application is no joke and it requires certain processing and thorough evaluation. There's no way those 5,000 euros are gone. The process can take something like 4/5 weeks or even more depending on the circumstances. Just because the person who claims that he has lost 5,000 euros after not being contacted by them in 4/5 or even 6 weeks does not mean the money is gone. I am quite sure he is been contacted.

I will take a bank loan
