Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Nah, those booths look painful and distressing. It's basically like being tortured by a mass murderer. I think Philip Nitschke's Sarco would be more realistic.
To me, it sounds so wonderful to peacefully pass away and be free from all suffering. All I want is to be gone. I wish that it was available in my country, but it is good to hear that suicide is becoming less stigmatised. The right to die should always be respected and no one should have to resort to painful methods to end their suffering.

Dying can be expensive. Because of my disease, i would need help to the airport. In UK it is possible that any third party assistance could be deemed ' helping' and potentially break law!
I went with a close relative of mine a few years ago. I helped him to apply VAD and throughout the whole process. Rule number one: do not rush, take it easy. If your condition is acceptable for them, chances to get the VAD approval are high. And the process can be really quick, like 4/5 weeks. However, there are important factors to consider here. First of all: your condition or illness. Second: enduring pain or unbearable suffering. Third: your age. Fourth: treatments you underwent. Fourth: family support (it's important for them). Fifth: medical reports. Sixth: some info regarding your background, family, etc. Seventh: do not put pressure on them, let alone letting them know any suicidal thoughts.
If you comply with those requirements, shouldn't be a problem to get approval. If you have any doubt regarding the acceptability of your condition, email them in order to make sure it is an acceptable condition to apply for VAD.
You are not talking about Pegasos, right ? None of the above criteria apply to Pegasos. You are probably talking about one of the other 6 associastions in Switzerland.
Personally I don't think it lives up to the hype. !0,000 euros? Ridiculous. There is a shitload of paperwork involved, you need to have approval from medical authorities and the language barriers have been said to make the process uncomfortable. The actual location of the pegasos and dignitas clinics are in industrial zones, and not scenic whatsoever. (though you can see the sights before you check in if you have the time and money) You have to commit to a set date and time, which is not flexible, in the event you want to change the date for any reason. And if you back out from the set date you lose a ton of money.
It's unfortunate these clinics are the best legal option money can buy.

You are not talking about Pegasos. There is not "a shitload of paperwork involved" and there is no "approval from medical authorities", "make the process uncomfortable" is not right. What you say is true for Dignitas. You should visit Pegasos´s website and read it . Pegasos works differently than the other 6 associations. The set date can be changed. You can even decide to get a new appointment in a couple of months or even years. If you decide to stay alive, you will lose only 1.500 Euro.
Pegasos works together with doctors and lawyers who do not work for free. They have to pay rent for their rooms and pay the employees. The costs for the authorities and the cremation and worldwide shipping of the urn are also included. So all this costs money and nobody works for free.

I'm talking about P and every single thing I mentioned above it's true. I actually know their staff and I'm in contact with them, chatting from time to time with some of their members. As I posted above we went there as a close relative of mine applied for VAD with them. If you think the condition, the age, parents' consent (in some cases), family support, the medical reports, etc. don´t play a role in the process, then you are completely wrong because they do. Having said that, it's a more flexible organization in every single department when it comes to VAD in comparison with other associations.

Seems worth it for what they offer though the price is still steep.
I almost see this as a warped anti-suicide conspiracy like "yeah why don't you try getting your life together to a point where you can spend this kind of money first before you go through with it?" Almost as if it's daring us to give life another shot. I guess the high price also makes it so that they are less likely to get sued because having that money makes you more likely to be absolutely sure.
Perfect then. I'm talking about my own experience with them. Those factors are still important though. There are a lot of people who applied for VAD with them and were rejected for the reasons I pointed out above.

Well, at the big picture that amount of money makes sense considering the circumstances and how does VAD work in Switzerland. It's a relatively quick process but they got their own staff, there´s bureaucracy involved, several types of expenses, etc. Switzerland is an expensive country, wages are high there, etc. However, these organizations, and P in particular, are always under scrutiny and they must comply with legislation. They also face lawsuits and are constantly litigating in court...

Depending on how you look at this they accept young suicidal people. However, with the context of suicidality being linked to mental illness most of the time -- regardless if the person has it or not it's doubtful a young person would be accepted. I would imagine a physical illness would be needed with no curability. Emotional suffering or lack of interest in life from a young person is largely always seen as mental illness. Not an option for me regardless, it's a luxury.
Yes, but in this case they considered the 31 year old above too young. People don't automatically consider you no longer young when you're above eighteen.

10000 EUROS is a lot of money for a person like me living in In_dia , if i start working today , it would take me probably 20 years to save that money , i hope in 100 years if world exists , there is a suic_ide center in every corner in every country for a nominal fee
