We all end up in the soil, dumped in a pit, at the banks of river Ganga in India, some exotic funeral where people pretend to be upset. Its all the same. When we are gone, we are gone. That s why im having a cheap disposal with no one present apart from my executor. Who cares. They ask for way too much. Considering you'd have to come there as well, stay there and etc. It's much easier and simpler to just order N by yourself and do the same thing. Idc care about cremation and funeral. Whoever will get my corpse after my death they can do whatever they want from it from organ extraction to throwing it to some pit by the road.
Of course you would have to come to die. They do not come to your home for assisted suicide. You have to travel to Switzerland 2 days before the VAD appointment. They ask for way too much. Why so many?I have at least 4 bottles of N in my home, ready to use.
But I gotta admit, this is pretty cool.
I wish I could do that legally and assisted, the world is too late.
Did you apply to Pegasos? Were you accepted? ^^^I have not experienced any of what you write at Pegasos.
Maybe someone can be there in spirit.Reading through their site—it sounds lovely. Only catch is you have to bring someone with you…
I really do like the Sarco.Nah, those booths look painful and distressing. It's basically like being tortured by a mass murderer. I think Philip Nitschke's Sarco would be more realistic.
This is very similar to Benelux countries and the planned changes in Canada.View attachment 89484
Depending on how you look at this they accept young suicidal people. However, with the context of suicidality being linked to mental illness most of the time -- regardless if the person has it or not it's doubtful a young person would be accepted. I would imagine a physical illness would be needed with no curability. Emotional suffering or lack of interest in life from a young person is largely always seen as mental illness. Not an option for me regardless, it's a luxury.
I really do like the Sarco.
Those of "advanced" age may also remember the scene from Soylent Green when the old gentleman decides to go. With Swiss summer mountains surrounding him (on a screen)…

They have a slew of criteria when they assess candidates who suffer from mental illness, especially mood disorders.
The argument is that mood disorders often come with "poor decision making skills", a false perception/distortion of reality and therefore patients with mood disorders are very often deemed "unsuitable" candidates.
As many as 80% of applications in the Benelux countries that DO allow MAID for mental health reasons deny those who suffer from mood disorders.
Some go through a second option of review and fewer than 10% get approved then.
No Canada doesn't allow it now and won't allow it going forward, legislation is specifically worded to include only who Canadian residents who have access to the healthcare system here to access MAID .I don't think Canada allows foreigners to suicide tourism and you have to be terminally ill. I don't know what Benelux countries means. Do you have a link?
Do you have links to Benelux sites like Pegasos? I am just trying to compare. No Canada doesn't allow it now and won't allow it going forward, legislation is specifically worded to include only who Canadian residents who have access to the healthcare system here to access MAID .
Benelux countries is a descriptor for Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg
There are no associations like Pegasos, Dignitas, LifeCircle or Exit in Benelux.
Where do you see that? When I clicked on "Join Exit", the only requirement for 50 years old is to join the "Online Peaceful Pill Forums".I think exit international, if you are a member, will send someone to be there with you. But joining exit is another story, you have to be at minimum I think 50 yo
They basically won't take any young adults if you don't have significant medical documentation and full family approval FYI. Like, you won't even be considered. You can still email them to inquire if you want though. Regardless of what the law says, I was told by them that no Swiss doctor would ever prescribe to a young adult who's not terminal or who has even the smallest chance of physically surviving for most of their adulthood.Nembutal
Over 18 years old only
Open to anyone from any country
10,000 Euros without air travel w/refund available
Physical, emotional or mental suffering is accepted
I found the company when researching the two ladies from USA that ctb at Pegasos.
Kind of expensive but what a solid professional option to exit. Atleast there is an option.

Email them and find out for yourself. I corresponded with them after reading their entire website. I have nothing more to say on the matter and you can believe whatever you want.A G A I N , T H I S I S N O T T R U E !
Please read Pegasos´s website ! You do NOT need" significant medical documentation and full family approval".
We can continue this pointless conversation for years OR your finally read the conditions of each association.
Pegasos got back to me. I don't need family approval but I do need to submit paperwork and a deposit for approval. If I get rejected then I lose my deposit.A G A I N , T H I S I S N O T T R U E !

I read through their website and I am still unclear what is their criteria for approval. I know they don't take people who are depressed or mentally ill, but they also say:Pegasos got back to me. I don't need family approval but I do need to submit paperwork and a deposit for approval. If I get rejected then I lose my deposit.
How does Pegasos compare to sterbehilfe.de?

What is stopping you from using them?I bought 1 for tests and another 1 in case I fail
Haha, no sir... Just too paranoid
can anyone help me get the email address from D? I really want to get N from him. I am new here and in my 60s, not very good and dont know much using computer but asking if anyone could help me out please..
They do accept applications from depressed or mentally ill people. But processing is a bit different. In this case, a psychiatrist must confirm that you are capable of judgment. Processing takes longer and you would have to pay additional /CHF 1.000,- for psychiatrist. So, if the application is rejected, you will lose €/CHF1.500,- + 1.000,-. There can be various reasons why a life is no longer worth living, "qualitatively poor". You can be in perfect health but still want to die for various reasons.I read through their website and I am still unclear what is their criteria for approval. I know they don't take people who are depressed or mentally ill, but they also say:
Pegasos believes that for a person to be in the headspace of considering ending their lives, their quality of life must be qualitatively poor. Pegasos accepts that some people who are not technically 'sick' may want to apply for a VAD. But this does not mean the person is 'well'.
What does "qualititavely poor" even mean? It's so fluffy and the chance someone can lose $1,500 euros is really high.
I get it they don't want to come up with a list of "approved reason to die", but they should at least reduce the non-refundable fee.
Please don't do this. It is against forum rules to share source information.I can give it to you. Just DM me.
Ok I did not send it.Please don't do this. It is against forum rules to share source information.
There are a few reasons for this:
- not enabling people who are in acute crisis
- safety guard for you to later be held responsible for their death
- safety guard for all of us to not get shut down
- safety guard for D not to be identified by law enforcement
What you can do is link to the PPeH.
