First let me preface this by saying:
This is in no way comfortable or results in unconsciousness fast.
For people who wish to die the way i do, it would be nice to not have first responders immediately label my death a suicide. Thats partially why i can never see myself partial hanging even though because usually it seems to be effective and regularly painless, however, when those gritty old detectives charged with figuring out what happened to me takes 10 seconds to reach suicide is something i do not want
I think this mindset is partially to do with a subconsious stigma of suicide and a wish to leave behind a mystery
Now, on to the method:
Hypothermia
Ice baths are uncomfortable, but are used by some athletes to flush out the "toxins created by working out a lot".(their words not mine)
The general consensus is that 15 minutes is the max safe time to do this sort of thing.
If you push it, how long woud it take for death in an ice bath/cold lake/glaicial stream say, 4-5 degrees celcius?
There's that classic story of titanic victims falling into freezing water (likely near or below freezing because of the saltwater) dying in about 15 minutes.
If the water is between 0 and 10 degrees Celsius, death is likely in 1-3 hours.
You may have to dedicate a whole night to this if you were to fill up an ice bath, as there are tales of people drowning in cold water being revived hours after dying.
I know this method is very uncomfortable, but i am willing to go through with it to create the setting i am most comfortable with, and i could always take some pills/booze to make myself fall asleep.
The only thing i was willing to consider as a downside is the length of time it takes for someone to not use our SI.
What are your opinions on dying this way? Are there other ideas you guys have on deaths that could be construed by others as accidents?
