When I was younger an acquaintance committed suicide similar to this. He backed up a major commuting artery in his death, probably one of the most important commuter arteries in the whole metro area.

I remarked to a friend about what had happened and he messaged me he had been stuck in the traffic due to the guy and then had many nasty comments about why was some loser holding up his day. This is the mentality of your typical American and why nothing in that country will ever change
It's the mentality of the world, not just Americans. Everyone is so disconnected from each other here. Everyone thinks that this is how life is supposed to be and that this is how I created and intended to be. No. Not at all.

Not pushing anyone to do anything, but why does something like this require an invite? I mean, if the method seems good to you, then just do it if that's what you want. Maybe, it's the old adage that "misery loves company"?
Was that to me?

a guy jumps into traffic and that's supposed to be okay? it isn't for many obvious reasons. and second of all i also wouldn't like to be stuck in a traffic jam because somebody felt like jumping there. just jump from a cliff already and don't bother other people.
See, now this shit wouldn't happen if, you know, society actually gave a damn about suicidal people and invested in the necessary infrastructure to mediate a cost-effective, reliable, and peaceful death for those seeking it.

I relate to everything you say. I had cats and got through some hard times because I felt I had to live for them. Then I had one last cat who suddenly died last month at the age of 13...most of my cats lived to be older, one even made it to 20, but even though I took good care of this cat she's gone now. I feel good about having stuck it out for all those little lives. I am free and this is a good time for me to die, I just wish there was a way that seemed solid to me.
I am so sorry that you are in such pain. If you ever want to talk I have good ears. We are cat people, we need to stick together. I am so sorry your baby passed away. I cant even imagine how difficult that is.
